I think I would really enjoy watching a full contact hockey game played in Hong Kong.

$260 for 12 regular season games and 2 possible playoff games. Northern California, no checking, 20 minute periods, running clock.

Wish I could get in on those 20+ game seasons.

$315 for 18-game season plus playoffs.

Another league I do is $250 for 8 week season but every week includes coaching and practice prior to the game - so we get 2.5 hours of ice time total.

In Vancouver it ranges from $450 up to $700 from September to April depending on the league you play in.

You get anywhere from 22-28 regular games with 2 guaranteed playoff games.

Price is indicative of the overall quality of the league. There's about 5-6 leagues in Vancouver that I'm aware of.

Right now we're in an inline league that has three 14-minute running clock periods (final 2 minutes is stopped). The # of games per season varies between 7 and 12, summer tends to be the shortest.

Prices also vary, I believe it's generally $1200-1500 per team per season but this past summer season was $700 per team (it was also only 7 games, but it still averaged out to be much cheaper than usual). There's also a $15 "facility membership" that each player has to pay on an annual basis in order to play. Basically that's just a way for them to get a lot of extra money for nothing =P

Two refs, scorekeeper, online stats (though there's barely any effort for accuracy). We usually play at another location as well where everything is the same except the stats are more accurately kept, the rink is smaller, and the prices are better most of the time.

Around $275 per player with a 12 or so man roster. 3 periods, 15mins each, stop time. No shootout/overtime save for the playoffs. 13 game season. We cover the fee for our goalie so he can play for free. He travels 2 hours each way to our games.

About 75mins north of Manhattan.

$425 for 20 games with 2 refs, 17 minute stop time periods, sometimes a 5 minute run time OT depending on how late it is, no checking or fighting. Free playoffs if you make them.

Wow, this is going to sound real cheap compared to ^^^.

This season went up in price a bit, $93 for 10 games, and 1-7 playoff games. 1 game 1st round, 3 game semis and finals.

3 - 20min running clock periods. 2 refs. Usually a scorekeeper.

We have 10-15 skaters + goalie per game.

The rec league here is $160 for 12 games. I don't know what they do for playoffs if anything.

Seeing how cheap it is everywhere else, it's no wonder the ********** running the local rec leagues in Vancouver are retiring long before 40.

Our league fees are higher than your guys but there are mre Ames it seems. It's ~ 600$ to play full time (2 preseason, 24 regular + playoffs) during the winter.

3 periods, 20 min running clock, 3 min PP's

We have several leagues in our area but I'm in the biggest one right now. It is more expensive but there are a ton of teams and more refs. I wouldn't mind a smaller league but it would get old playing the same 3-4 teams every week.

Our league here is done by team fees. So each team is $7900 for 28 games and 1 guaranteed playoff game. 3 15 min stop time periods, 5 min running OT and shootout after that. 2 refs per game.

So each person depends on how many on a team. Some teams have poor attendance and have 19 or 20 on the roster making the fee less, others go with only 12 or so people making their fees more, but more ice time.

When I was up north, our league fees were about $9200/team the last yr I was there. We'd usually get upwards of $3000 to $4000 in sponsorship from a pub and a couple different businesses in town. Generally I'd say we were looking at about $350-$400 based upon 15 players.

That got you....2 preseason games, 40 regular season games, generally 3-7 playoff games. Games were 3, 25min run periods. Last 30secs in the 1st and 2nd were stop time and the last 5mins in the 3rd was stop time.

98% of the time we had 2 officials and a scorekeeper and all our stats, standings and schedule was our league website. It was a VERY well run league(s)

I only play pick up now, but it is $25/per game and the organizer supplies matching jerseys and socks for every game, makes a balanced line up and an automatic whistle goes off every 2 mins or so for a line change.

Apparently my league is ripping us off. 20 game regular season plus 1-6 playoff games, three 15-min periods, stop clock, 2 refs. $8,300 per team, which works out to about $533 per player, plus mandatory $45 USA hockey membership.

That sounds like a pretty good deal actually (if you make the playoffs . Little below standard I would say. Our games cost around 26$ and 13$ for drop in.

No hitting , kicked out of game for fighting no suspension. 3 15min periods with a shootout if tied during reg season, playoffs are 5 min ot sudden death then shootout.

Down here in Dallas, TX. I pay somewhere around $400 for 20-25 regular season games + playoffs. 15 min, stopped time with ref and linesman. There's also a bar in the rink that we get $4 pitchers before/after games. Looks like some of you guys are getting shafted.

I run the league in Kitimat. $480 per player (based on a 14-skater team), gets you 30 regular season games, 5 round-robin guranteed, a semi-final and a best-of-three final. So new fewer than 35 games, but as many as 39. We also have a Cup, team names and rosters engraved on it and all.

When I was in Vancouver, I think I paid about $600 or so for a 28 game year with no playoffs (ASHL). $750 for a 25-game year with about 4 playoff games at the end (Duffer's Hockey).

NOTHING!!! muwahahaha

I'm a goalie, with that comes self-entitlement and no league fees.

Makes playing on 3 teams really easy on the wallet.

We are 575 for 15 skaters for 23 game min with 3x15 stop time. The extra 6 mins of game time you get is superb.
