NFL Thread VI: Andre Brown Edition

Continue.

Feels real nice to dominate a team like that.

Brown and Barden had career games. Giants are so much deeper on offense than I ever expected.

I believe King Ramses matched his production from last year in this game.

Not bad.

Even with the Panthers getting absolutely destroyed, Steve Smith managed to get me 12 points. Nothing spectacular, but solid enough.

Good win tonight. No real complaints other than they gotta get a little better in the Red Zone. Still, rest up, they're gonna need everyone ready for the Eagles.

Jerry Reese has done a superb job at getting depth where no one else thinks there is. Next week will be interesting for Barden, the Eagles will be much more physical and have a better pass rush.

Interesting to see that Da'rel Scott in with the backups at the end of the game and not David Wilson. This guy has not had a good start to the season. Maybe I'm reading to much into it, but it seems to me the coaches don't trust him yet. And on this team, if the coaches don't trust you, you will very rarely see the field. And David Wilson is a player who needs touches to improve.

I have friends who are already calling Wilson a bust.

It's his 3rd career game.

Either way, drafting a RB in the first round is usually not the best investment. 5 year careers vs 10-12 from O linemen, corners, DE's. Bradshaw is 27 and near useless now.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm still annoyed about taking a RB as our first choice but we still gotta give the kid a chance. He definitely has talent. He just needs to put it together.

If he wants regular snaps on this team he needs to work hard on catching the ball out of the backfield and pass blocking. If he can get those two things down well he will get in shotgun packages regularly for this team and be able to contribute.

Wilson is a stud. He was the last pick of the 1st round and the Giants already had a starter.

Coughlin rarely plays rookies. People are reading too much into this.

Does Andre Brown remind anybody else of Adrian Peterson? Too soon of course, but I see some similarities. Down hill runner, will run you over, has moves to get away from you, and will pick up the tough yards. I'm really loving what I'm seeing from him.

That is the exact comparison I made to my little brother last night.

Doesn't have the same top gear or high end moves but their running styles are a lot alike.

No. At the very least, Brown doesn't have the speed that AP does.

Yes and no. He wanted to use Wilson because we had no #2 before AB2 stepped up (when Wilson was playing like ****). So if Wilson had played well, he'd of been getting all the carries once Bradshaw went down. He only has himself to blame.

As the Giants have said, he's a faster Derrick Ward. Great player to have around. Hope he continues it.

That was especially enjoyable.

Hard to decide which Steve Smith I dislike more.

Bennett can be even better but he's fine as is.

Carolina's. Between him and the CB Norman and the way they postured after making a routine play down 20 points, its was embarrassing. Oh, and Cam, save the Superman act when you run it in from the 1 to bring make it a two possession game in the third quarter.
