And now, same story, we just don`t have KHL top6 forwards calibre players, so we are forced to put these Indrasis, Dzerins, Meija guys on our top 2 lines... But again, guys are not playing bad, remember how Redlihs, Darzins looked at their 1st season playing on the 3rd line, and then step by step they become our leaders putting good numbers, mby its finally Dzerins and Meija time to do something like that? If it is, i think they should hurry, coz i think it is a good chance that Mikelis or Lauris (or mby even both ) will return to DR after winter break, coz now they both look terrible.
He`s not on the same level as džeriņš and meija you can`t even compare them, not even close.

And stop talking about about that one tournament. It's an old story. Fact is he scores in every game in the KHL. What else on earth do you want? Meija can't elevate the puck when he shoots all alone at the wide open net ffs..

If its not about that one tournament!? Then about what? 6 KHL games?! I know guys you are such a hockey experts that after 6 games you make a conclusions about who is better then who. Thats nice.

And 2+2 after 6 games is ofc "he scores in every game in the KHL". Dzerins has 0+2, thats almost point in every KHL game, you know... almost...

Yes, exactly, glad you figured it out already. It's about performance. In one game, in six games - doesn't matter. It's about the performance and as long as he puts points on the board, what else do you want? What's wrong with him?

These stonehands like Meija or Dzerins are 25 years old and they couldn't produce anything in terms of scoring in their previous seasons. What are you trying to prove?

I mean after spending half an hour in practise you can compare players' skills because in most cases it's obvious - Kovalchuk can shoot, Zubrus can't. And you can't make a conclussions after like 15 matches?

Well, Džeriņš has some potential, the injury last season was a big setback for him. On the other hand, Meija isn't going to be more than a bottom-6 player. He has great work ethic, he's always trying his best, but the skill is just not there.

And where was Pekka and other couching staff last year? You think they are blind or what? I can repeat myself if you don`t get it at the first time. Indrasis isn`t something special, he played great WC, now Pekka, when we don`t have any other players to put in first 2 lines, is forced to play guys like Indrasis, Dzerins, Meija in first two lines. Dont give me naked stats, Dzerins and Meija looked better last two games, when they were playing decent time and in the 2nd line.

Let's predict whether Sprukts lasts at CSKA until Christmas! I say no chance in hell.

Only Sprukts?

I think all 3 from our trio (Mikelis,Lauris,Janka), could be free after Christams.

I really though that Mikelis could play in better team that DR, but now its looking harsh form him 4th line..

About Lauris, if it was his 1st season in Kazan, i would say I`am not surprised he is not showing anything, i really though that his injury in 1st season can help his career, how wrong may it sounds, he would have time, to get accustomed with new team, how it is to not playing at home. But again, what can we ask from the guy who had 15 straight games without goal in hes career year...

I'm simply not sure if a team can release an injured player (re Darzins).

Yeah, of course team can not. But Darzins injury is not serious, he will be back after couple of games... And if he still will continue to not showing anything... We all know reputations of "AK Bars", they dont play games with their players, if you are bad, you just got kicked out, like Telly, Ketov, Hossa in some point.

7 out of 13 of our opponents in the West have brought in significant reinforcements. 2 more (Atlant and Loko) will also sign an NHLer or two. Making the playoffs will be one heck of a challenge for us.

P.S. Save us, Sprukts!

Watching my 1st KHL game. Riga looks... out of it .

Not gonna lie, I had a good chuckle seeing "Niskala" bury on "Tellqvist" .

Is there video review for goals in KHL?

Sorry let me clarify. I mean do they "go upstairs" like they do in NHL to see if the puck crossed the line on a close goal?

Very good hockey though. Fast pace. Seen some guys let up on some really good body check opportunities though.

Well he looks pretty good for the first game but i mean i`m not excpecting him to do wonders on the first game when he`s on the same line as slow-ass ņiživijs(i think he has to be my most hated latvian player from now on,sprukts comes in close 2nd)
