So I guess the GMBrain was named Abby Normal. Trying to do a BeAGm now, for the second time. First time Bouchard goes out 3 months in the first game, Parise out 3 months in the second game-straight to the garbage heap. Second try injuries are still ridiculous, I've had to sign 2 D and trade for a third and I've still had to play a F on D in Houston for a game. Granlund's out, Falk is out, Scandella out, Prosser out, Setoguchi out, Brodin went out for a short time, Koivu was out for a few games. I'm 18 games in. I realize they want to make getting franchise points worth something, but making you upgrade your staff, especially your medical staff, is absurd. There isn't a team in the league that wouldn't fire such incompetent medical staff.
The injuries are beyond realistic so I just turn them off. The worst part of injuries is having to go in and edit the lines every single time one happens.

Even worse (well I haven't played Be A GM on 13 yet so I assume it's still this way) but if you sim multiple games at a time the stupid "assistant GM" will make call ups and completely revamp your lines for you after the injuries without any notification coming up. Nothing like last season finding that Staubitz is playing on the top defensive pairing because I had 3 defensemen bite the bullet in a game.
Definitely. Veillioux has played 42 games this year. Mostly on defense filling in. Notification for getting healthy again, but none for being injured. Lolwut
Exactly, by turning off the assistant coach, he'll never touch your line-up. The downside is that you'll have to stop simming and edit your lines yourself if an injury occurs and considering you get an injury every freakin' game, it's quite annoying to have to do so much editing.
Just finished the first year. Brought home the Cup. I simmed most of everything. Had to intervene in the seventh game of every playoff series. If my team is going to stretch it to 7 games I mind as well intervene in the last one.
I have my Medical Staff on level 4. First two games with level 4 in the playoffs of all times, Bouchard out for 5 weeks, Koivu for 2 weeks, Foster 10 days, Gilbert 1 week, Brodin 10 days.

Can you turn off the assistant coach in GM Connected?
Asking because when Stalberg got injured from my team, of course I called up a replacement from AHL. But when I tried to edit the lines, I couldn't see the player anywhere, so had to put Brookbank (D) into 4th line. Also the CPU had ruined all the lines when replacing the injured player, even the PP and SH lines, extra attackers and penalty shot takers...
Still having difficulties figuring out the 3 different "Be a Player" modes. What I did was create a player and pick him up by Saint John and have him drafted by MN. When I continue on in be a pro, I don't get to play with my player for Saint John, instead I play with the Wild....W-T-Frank am I doing wrong?!

Breaking into the NHL too early? Idk.

I don't see how it couldn't interrupt. I'll be on in a minute and I'll try and check.

Well, yes it will interrupt because you wouldn't have a full line-up if someone got injured. That's what I was saying earlier, it's going to interrupt EVERY SINGLE TIME you get an injury to both your NHL club and your AHL club, and you're going to have to go in and edit the lines EVERY SINGLE TIME IT HAPPENS. It's very annoying.
Coyle (4 stars, after 1 year only a 63)
Gilbert (Missed a third of the season)
Should I do it?
I wouldn't. If Coyle is still a 4 star, he's just as good as anyone you're going to draft (unless Hunter Shinkaruk is available) and Gilbert is worth keeping over nearly any first round pick, yet alone one that's still over a year away.
Boy I need a lot of improvement playing defense in this game. I was able to find every Wild prospect except Jonas Brodin in the system. Do you guys know where he is or do I need to create him? Otherwise couldn't be happier with the game and the gameplay.
