Can't wait for Jeremy Smith to knock out some of Flick's teeth with his goalie stick!

He is a marked man in Milwaukee this season. Remember April 1, 2012!!!

He'll probably have to come down to the ECHL to do it. I see Flick starting the season in Toledo again.

Marcus Foligno - Cody Hodgson - Corey Tropp
Luke Adam - Kevin Porter - Mark Mancari

Nick Tarnasky - Rick Schofield - Maxime Legault
x Kevin Sundher, Brian Flynn, Jon Parker, Shawn Szydlowski, Jacob Lagace, Riley Boychuk

Brayden McNabb - Mark Pysyk
TJ Brennan - Joe Finley
Alex Biega - Jerome Gauthier-Leduc
x Drew Schiestel, Nick Crawford, Matt MacKenzie, Corey Fienhage

David Leggio
Connor Knapp
x Nathan Lieuwen
Rochester should have a nice mix of players during the lockout.

I can't decide if that is good or bad news for Milwaukee, the AHL and pro hockey.

Highly doubt you'll see him in okc.....would've already been sent down if they could plus isn't he now on his second contract making him waiver eligible?

There is some confusion about why he wasn't sent down, however he is still on his ELC and it is suggested that because he is injured (recovering from surgery) and hasn't been cleared to play, at this point in time, the Oilers can't legally send him down. Nevertheless, most expect him to be sent down. Jordan Eberle even said he expects Taylor Hall to join OKC eventually.

Injured players that are not cleared to play are still drawing their NHL salary and not effected by the lockout. Once they are cleared to play, then they get locked out.

So not sure why he would be working out a deal with a European club especially when he is drawing NHL salary and, if he gets cleared to play, he could be in violation of his NHL deal by going to Europe.

Jesus, here's your Calder Cup. So you are going to have an NHL #1 and #2 line

As an Oiler fan this lockout won't be as bad as it was last time around. With the advent of decent quality streaming on computers we will be able to watch all the AHL games from the site for whatever amount they cost. It looks like the AHL is going to have a lot of worthwhile talent this year so if there's no NHL there will still be high quality hockey to watch. Toronto and Ottawas teams also look strong along with a number of others. Should be a good hold over until the NHL season starts.

Wrong, lockout pending we will most likely be seeing him in OKC. Here's your proof....

Joanne Ireland ‏@jirelandEJ
#Oilers Taylor Hall now in town. Says shoulder shouldn't keep him out much longer. Preference to play in #OKC during lockout.

http://twitter.com/jirelandEJ

EDIT - Nevermind, now she is coming out and saying that Hall won't be in OKC, not due to lack of interest from him, but because of a rule that doesn't really make much sense.

Hall couldn't be sent down because of his injury, which you can't send an injured player to the minors.... but now they say he isn't elgible because he wasn't sent down by the 15th (which the only reason he wasn't was due to their rule). I figured there had to be an exception in a case like this, but suprisingly there isn't.

POSSIBLE???? Dude Andrew Gordon is a 2 time AHL All-Star and a 2 or 3 time calder cup champion with Hershey.....there's NO possibly about it.

Using the players in your list it would be more like this:

Sterling-Ebbett-Haydar
Sweatt-Schroeder-Kassian/Desbiens
Rodin-Longpre-Miller
Mallet-Matson-Kassian/Desbiens

Now remember this is only using your listed players but there are others to take into account like Andrew Gordon, Michael Davies and Stefan Schneider to name a few. More than likely it will be:

Streling-Ebbett-Haydar
Sweatt-Schroeder-Gordon
Rodin/Davies-Longpre-Kassian
Desbiens-Schneider/Davies-Miller

You're probably correct to some extent, as the Wolves are not owned by the Canucks and don't have to put a unnaturally large emphasis on developing Canuck prospects. OTOH, in order to keep a healthy relationship with the parent team, they might compromise a bit with Mallet and/or Rodin. Kassian would also be on one of the first two lines... the dude is better than Gordon and Haydar no matter what goggles you're looking through.

I've seen "the dude" play and no.....no he's not.In fact to further illustrate it ill use all 3's NHL totals because they are very similar:

Kassian......44 games,4 goals, 6 assist 10 points
Haydar.......23 games,1 goal, 7 assist, 8 points
Gordan.......49 games,3 goals,4 assist, 7 points

Intangables.......Haydar...multiple AHL championships, including Captain of 08 Wolves championship team....Haydar.....owner of the 4th longest scoring streak in pro hockey at 39 straight games.....Haydar.....owner of the AHL record for most playoff goals in a career in the 75 plus yr history of league. Haydar... Captain of AHL All-star team in 2012

Gordon.....Multiple AHL championships and Multiple All-star team nominations

Guess we'll see soon enough
