Question - Who is captain of the Colts if not Scheifele? I realize that I don't know the behind the scenes lockerroom stuff of the Colts, but from what I saw in the Canada / Russia series, how is Scheifele not the captain?
Colts named Ryan O'Connor captain earlier this week, don't know much about him other than he's an overager this year so maybe they wanted someone with more OHL experience.

Scheifele was player of the night yesterday ( obviously ) we'll see who it is tonight . I select Adam Lowry , quite think he will have a big year and anxious to see how big if he is healthy all year.

Yea I hope Lowry can have a big year. Things were going pretty well points wise last year until he got the injury.
Big picture now, the nice thing about our prospects is that with the more patient approach now the organization actually has a decent prospect pool and its kind of fun to follow them. It does create that short term void in top picks playing in the league as we transition from the 1st round draft choices going directly into the NHL to 1st round picks taking a few years to cook in the oven until they are ready. However the great news is once we start graduating our first class of the draft and DEVELOP group (the Scheifele's and the Trouba's) we could have a steady stream of more seasoned NHL prospects joining the club.

Lowry had a great start last year , then played several games trying to play through the injury before he got shut down. I think it was about a half dozen or so games at least and his production waned during this time. when he was healthy he was producing at a significant pace and I anticipate that to renew this year.
He has lots on intagibles , if he can produce points on top of that , we have a very intriguing prospect.
Lots of games to be updated on tonight ! Hockey is back , just not the NHL , still this is a big piece of it for me.

Swift Current Bronco General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb, announced that forward Adam Lowry has been named the team’s captain for the 2012-2013 season. Lowry will become the 26th captain in Broncos franchise history, succeding Taylor Vause who captained the team in the 2011-2012 season.
Selected by the Broncos in the 4th round (78th overall) of the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft, Lowry is entering his fourth season with the club. The 6’5”, 201-pound forward was named one of four alternate’s for the Broncos last year. Unfortunately his 2011-2012 campaign was shortened due to injury, but he was still over a point-per-game performer putting up 37 points (12-25-37) in 36 games played. In his 2010-11 season Lowry posted a career-high 45 points (18-27-45) in 66 games played. He wrapped up his '10-11 campaign on a high-note as he was taken by the Winnipeg Jets in the 3rd round (67th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
