And one or two of us would say that you can't deduce anything from five games.

Attack General Manager Dale DeGray confirms Artur Gavrus will not be with the Attack this weekend and is uncertain when, or if, he'll be playing.

DeGray states all the consent and transfer paperwork required for Gavrus to return to the Attack has been completed and approved by the Belarus Federation and by the International Ice Hockey Federation.

However, as of early September, it appears Gavrus has had a change of heart and is leaning towards staying in his native country to play hockey.

If they give him a good spot on the Dinamo Minsk team, then fine. Doubtful though. Something sounds fishy.

****ing Lukashenkos.

Thursday's OHL Activity:

Ben Johnson - -1, 2 PIM (high-stick) in Windsor's 6-1 loss vs. Owen Sound
Artur Gavrus - DNP for Owen Sound (not with team)

Eh, that's disappointing. Gavrus was one of my favorite picks.

Which is why many of us felt the comment "..but if he's not putting up points in the juniors, he's not going to amount to much" was a little harsh and hasty at this stage.

How? It's a statement that I felt was supported by data in the past. Nowhere did I say he was a bust now or any hyperbole of the sort. I just wasn't on his nuts cause he's a first round pick like Corrente.

In fact, I'll say it again. He can agitate to the moon but if that's the only thing he's going to add then I'd be worried. Let's see how he does this season and revisit later eh?

The statement is most certainly a true one. I'm so used to these boards now that I assumed you were coming in here to label him an early bust. Sorry about that.

Matteau scored OMG put his number in the rafters next to Scotty, Dano, and Neids.

Sarcasm aside, good for Matts.

But but but...he's a fourth liner at best! Not the sort you draft in the first round!

Reece Scarlett has been taken to Moose Jaw hospital for precautionary measures.

Thanks for all the support. I am doing fine. Nothing seriously wrong. Just beyond stiff and sore. #bebacksoon

You left out Kerfoot who had 2 assists in Coquitlam's 6-2 win over Alberni Valley

He's not in the CHL, but if he does start to include that it'll be awesome. Forgot about Kerfoot.

But but but...we have such a big sample size. I was reading about how the games meant a lot if they come in packs of 5, or 1.

And good for scarlett being alright. Hoping that he has another phenomenal year.
