Attack General Manager Dale DeGray confirms Artur Gavrus will not be with the Attack this weekend and is uncertain when, or if, he'll be playing.
DeGray states all the consent and transfer paperwork required for Gavrus to return to the Attack has been completed and approved by the Belarus Federation and by the International Ice Hockey Federation.
However, as of early September, it appears Gavrus has had a change of heart and is leaning towards staying in his native country to play hockey.
Which is why many of us felt the comment "..but if he's not putting up points in the juniors, he's not going to amount to much" was a little harsh and hasty at this stage.
How? It's a statement that I felt was supported by data in the past. Nowhere did I say he was a bust now or any hyperbole of the sort. I just wasn't on his nuts cause he's a first round pick like Corrente.
In fact, I'll say it again. He can agitate to the moon but if that's the only thing he's going to add then I'd be worried. Let's see how he does this season and revisit later eh?
