Away from the puck he had also grown leaps and bounds. As a 16 year old he often looked pretty lost in his own zone, running around a bit and losing one on one battles. There's no doubt that when it's all said and done and some team drafts Rielly inside the top 10-12 in the NHL draft, they are going to get a hell of a player. He might not have the poise of Ryan Murray or the explosiveness of Mathew Dumba, but he's a great offensive defenceman who was well on his way to proving himself in his own zone.

Not a bad start. I can't wait to see what he can do this season. I'm not expecting big numbers, especially with the quality of his team, but I'd like to see him get around a PPG.

I think he's laughing at the fact that you stated that you don't expect huge numbers, yet would like to see him score at a PPG pace, which in itself is a huge prediction/expectation.

I'm looking there and there is quite a lot of D there with around 55 points or more.

You are missing the point. I expect Rielly to be in the ppg neighborhood. That isnt the unreasonable part of your post.

Went to the Warriors vs Broncos game Saturday night. Definitely notice his elite skating. What surprised me though was his scrap near the end of the game. Never knew he had any of that in his game. Although the warriors were getting blown out and Rielly i think was a bit caught off guard at first, almost forced into it.
Rielly does remind me of Bobby Orr sometimes. Especially when he comes up ice with the puck and it appears the other team is happy to watch him go by.
Orr's greatest atribute was his never quit effort. Rielly shows some of that at times.

Rielly is touted as a one-dimensional threat... Not a dual threat offensively and defensively like Orr...
Please for the love of God at least save the Orr comparisons to when/if he actually plays an NHL game...
I would think so. It would be first and foremost on my wish list. Big risk taking someone who missed almost their entire draft year. A good bounce back year with a majority of games played would be step one.
