The CHL's scoresheets have been screwed up (what else is new) thus far when it comes to listing the 3 stars of the game correctly. They had Faksa as the #1 star. I've fixed it. As far as my key goes 3 stars = 3rd star, 2 stars = 2nd star and so on.
A quick note on these highlight packages... if you don't see something, it's because I don't have access to the video. The WHL's coverage is spotty and not always punctual and I'm not sure video technology has gotten to Quebec yet.
Just had a thought on Jokipakka - His assignment back to Ilves might've been based on the anticipation by the Stars of a lockout. Dillon almost certainly wouldn't have been back in Cedar Park and that would've opened up a spot potentially for Jokipakka. As it is, it's way too crowded down there and he's much better off getting top pairing minutes in Finland. I still think he would've done well here if there'd been room for him in the AHL this year.
I was at the Kitchener game last night, I thought Faksa had a pretty solid night. Along the boards and in tight spaces were when his skills were most noticable. He used his body extremely well to create space for himself, it was very impressive. And for a bigger guy he was pretty silky with the puck.
First time i've had a good look at him and I was pretty impressed.
