Apparently I turned the radio off at the wrong time. Faksa scores twice in the season opener.

Faksa was 3rd star, in case it matters. Lol

Or does the 1st star of the game mean you get 3 Stars, in which case Legace was 1st star of the Rocket game?

The CHL's scoresheets have been screwed up (what else is new) thus far when it comes to listing the 3 stars of the game correctly. They had Faksa as the #1 star. I've fixed it. As far as my key goes 3 stars = 3rd star, 2 stars = 2nd star and so on.

A quick note on these highlight packages... if you don't see something, it's because I don't have access to the video. The WHL's coverage is spotty and not always punctual and I'm not sure video technology has gotten to Quebec yet.

Just had a thought on Jokipakka - His assignment back to Ilves might've been based on the anticipation by the Stars of a lockout. Dillon almost certainly wouldn't have been back in Cedar Park and that would've opened up a spot potentially for Jokipakka. As it is, it's way too crowded down there and he's much better off getting top pairing minutes in Finland. I still think he would've done well here if there'd been room for him in the AHL this year.

I was at the Kitchener game last night, I thought Faksa had a pretty solid night. Along the boards and in tight spaces were when his skills were most noticable. He used his body extremely well to create space for himself, it was very impressive. And for a bigger guy he was pretty silky with the puck.

First time i've had a good look at him and I was pretty impressed.

I was up north yesterday so I didn't get a chance to watch Faksa on TV, had to listen to it on the radio, sounds like Faksa has taken another step forward offensively.

Winther had a fighting major and a game misconduct for apparently being part of a 2nd fight after there was already a fight going on elsewhere on the ice. Both of his assists were primaries on the PP.

With 23:50 ice time, Jyrki Jokipakka had 3 shots, no points, and -1 in a loss yesterday.

Ludwig Bystrom gets more ice time again this time playing just under 12 minutes. He had one shot on goal and was +1.

Emil Molin dressed for Brynas' game, but he didn't touch the ice.

I forgot about Henri Kiviaho.

On Saturday, he made 22 saves for his first shutout of the year. Today, he only lasted 2 periods after giving up 4 goals on 19 shots.

Faksa scored a beautiful shootout game winner today (About a minute ago), very underrated hands.

Lagacé may have had a forgettable afternoon in goal against MacKinnon and Co., but he did register a primary assist on PEI's lone goal. Maybe I should add points to the goalie table.

Kitchener's website puts up highlights after every game, and if you don't see it there first, piqued will probably post it here after it goes up.

I threw in Stransky's shootout goal from a couple of days ago that I didn't cover. All Czechs all the time.

That's what's on our jerseys.

It does look really strange without being curved, though, but I like it.

I know, it's just my disdain for these jerseys in general.
