I love the Lions, so I hope some more people check them out because of the lockout. Ditto for the Whitecaps, those games are hella fun to attend.

Heading to the Giants game tomorrow. Actually found a practically mint-condition Vancouver Giants home jersey at a Sport Swap shop for $30...score, and add one to the jersey collection.

Probably the people who decide to not be as obssessed about the Canucks as they normally are...I'm now cancelling cable and not paying to watch a game until the playoffs start (and will likely carry that on) - this is a big savings from having seasons tickets a few years ago (although I went to less games last year too - was burnt out from the 2011 playoffs a bit I think).

a couple of Lions games now... altho that would of likely otherwise anyways.

So locally - Whitecaps.. Lions.

Giants also stand to see an increase like 8 yrs ago... but not for me at this point.
yup, i also jumped on the whitecaps bandwagon

i didnt even like soccer until this MLS season started and the caps banged off a few wins early on

hopefully they can get it together and become a dark horse in the playoffs

Yeah, I've tried to tune into Whitecaps games whenever I can. Not a huge soccer fan, but they've been decently entertaining.

Wishing I lived down here - hard to argue with a $20 ticket to a Giants game. That or they need to be televised more in the absence of the Canucks.

Are you telling me that... The Heat is on....?

I hope that Jr Hockey gets a boost in attendance.

Just did that, or at least tried to, a little over an hour ago for the same reason.

Problem was I didn't realize that over the course of the last year the bundle I originally signed up for ages ago went up about 50%. I've been paying over $140 a month for my cable/phone/internet... long story short, I'm now paying $72 a month with the exact same internet and phone services with basic cable; which is about 20 bucks cheaper than if I just had dropped cable altogether.

Guess I've been paying $70 a month all this time for the channels I never watched.

FFS.

Cougs are doing good so far this year too. Plus, you can never go wrong with WHL hockey, good stuff.

I'll have fun watching/following Alex Forsberg, Colin Jacobs all season, that's for sure. Not to forget, I also have some BCHL games calling my name.
