Grigorenko creating chances from all over the ice on the PP. Looks great when he slides back to the point (real good at getting his shots and passes through a lot of bodies).

Grigs with a great PK shift late in the second. Was cycling the puck in the offensive zone for basically an entire shift. Great puck possession skill showing through.

I saw the play myself, very slick, very patient.

Definitely. Very impressed with him today, so far. He's looked good out there in all situations (ES, PP, PK), IMO.

It's the Grigorenko and Duclair show right now. Dang.
Game ends a 5-0 victory for the Remparts. Grigorenko with 2 assists and a +3.

Lazy Russian only has 6 points in his first 2 games.

Terrific game today, looked a lot better than during the camp/tournament thingy at the end of the summer. Passes were crisp, protected the puck really well and showed off his ability to read ahead of the play. Duclair was also great, showed me more vision than I've ever seen from him. With his speed, if he could show that on a more consistent basis then he could very well go in the top half of the 1st round come 2013.

Agreed on Duclair. Didn't notice him too much in the first period, but for the latter 2/3 of the game, he was making some very nice reads and passes. Also looks like he has great wheels. Too bad Shaw blanked on that one PP set-up where Grigs hit Duclair next to the net from the point, and Duclair slid it to Shaw on the back door. Would've been a beauty of a goal.

Yeah, considering he's 38 years old he should have like 5 times as many points. Just shows he's clearly biding time until he can jump to the KHL.

Lots of high scores in the QMJHL already.

I see MacKinnon has found his chemistry with Drouin already, they're going to be a force this year.

Colin Jacobs also has six points in his first two games.
He scored on a penalty shot yesterday and just converted his shootout attempt in today's 7-6 SO win.

Grigs was named the QMJHL's second star of the week for his six point effort.

Too bad he got beat by someone half his age for first.

It'd be a great boost to the farm to have Jacobs start to put that frame and skillset together.

Had high hopes for him when he was drafted, and actually liked him more than Cat at the time. Just thought he could be a force and be dominant.

Glad he had a good week, but if he can continue to put himself together then we really have another guy who could be a solid bottem 6 force.

Just have to hope

He's basically in the same situation as Shipley except he projects a little better since he's not spoiled like Ship.
I don't think he even has the skill to be a third liner in the future though and potential fourth line prospects aren't really worth contracts, so I think he'll go unsigned.

I liked him a lot too, but he's lost crucial development time and has been exposed in the time since he's been drafted.
He just doesn't have enough hockey sense and his skating is poor.
We'll see if he actually makes the most of his trade request, unlike Shipley.

Yea I was thinking it was similar to shipley is the sense that they were both 4th liners with problems after their draft year (shipley with his work ethic and Jacobs with his injuries). Just hope that he shows a bit more progretion but I also think that he wont get a contract.

IFK won 1-2. Hard-fought game that Ässät almost dominated, but couldn't solve Joni Ortio. Armia played a pretty good game IMO, was very visible (and not only because of the helmet). He could be a bit less selfish on 2-on-1, he tends to shoot for the glove side 90% of the time, and I think the goalies in the league are catching up to it.

That wrister is going to kill someone someday though...
