This sure stinks, my ESPN app has been showing me the date of this game since July, 9/24 has been burned in my head. I wonder if Terry the diehard fan or Terry the cutthroat business man will be pondering the void this evening. I have my guess.

If we all love the game so much, we need to acknowledge that the players ARE the game. They deserve the majority of what I pay to see the NHL. The owners' facilitation of the product/profit sure as hell doesn't. I stand in solidarity with the NHLPA, do you?

Nope. You can't divide revenue based on what entertains you more. The arena lease doesn't entertain me, but you gotta pay it.

The players should take the maximum they can get and have the team still make a profit.

Good God....... it's going to be a long long winter if they don't resolve this soon.

You guys are like extended family and I will miss the HF game day and post game discussions, insights, barbs, and comedy.

A pox on both the NHL and NHLPA's houses.

The Sabres put on a clinic against the Montreal Canadiens. Ennis capped off the night with a hat trick and two assists. Ryan Miller, second star of the game, let in just one goal out of thirty eight shots.
"I didn't think much of it. You just get into the zone, and it feels like you are unbeatable," said Miller, who stuck around to answer some questions. Drew stafford netted two assists, and Patrick Kaleta collected a Gordie Howe hat trick.

The goal was a double deflection shot from the point through multiple players screening Miller, yet instantly generated 3 pages of GDT comments calling for Enroth to start.

And that Montreal scored with 5.4 seconds left in the third period to spoil the shutout.

I thought we all agreed any game where the Sabres only gave up 1 goal, and gave it up in the last minute was already defined as a Ryan Miller Shutout.

I never thought I'd see a UHF reference in a "GDT".
