Also, good post, db
Every player could flop, but Panther management feels pretty confident in his ability to make a big impact in the League.

Tallon wants to grow from within and has said several teams have inquired about Nick, and others, Tallon won't move them. Why be offended? No one is knocking Plekanec, we're just saying that if you want prospects for him, look elsewhere.

Nice, mature post. Think 5 years from now you won't remember this post as Jugs is playing a solid game out there.

I felt pretty good about it.

How many 70 pt seasons has Pleks had exactly? Since you said he will still be doing it.

Yup... It's all Florida doing the overrated here.

The guy has 2 60 pt seasons and hasn't hit 60 the last two years (and played almost every game for the record). I don't think he's a lock for 60-70pts the next five years bud.

All crap about jugs vs Pleks aside... Your post screams homerism

As an Islander fan, I'd be f***ing ecstatic if Nelson ends up reaching Plekanec's level.
I'm going to LoL when he outscores John "still waiting to become the next crosby" Tavares

I don't think it's a stretch to say the only time Bjugstad will outscore Tavares is if Tavares retires first(barring injuries)

Habs fan here. No way Florida gets rid of Bjugstad.

The value is perhaps there in Plekanec, but Bjugstad is a blue chipper. No point in trading him for an 30 year old forward.

I said Bjugstad will most likely never outscore Tavares. Not sure what that has to do with Luongo.

umm..... Tarares has scored 24, 29, and 31 goals in his three seasons, not exactly 40+ goals... I have no clue if Bjugstad is going to score more(although hoping) and not saying those goals aren't good, but saying we're going to wait a long time is a bit of a stretch. Tarvares was touted as the next Crosby (at least the NHL touted him as such) and if you ask me, he's not even close.

Isn;t your whole argument focused on how Bjugstad will reach his potential because he is a blue chipper? Why would bringing up a former blue chipper and saying he didn't reach expectations help your cause here?

I'm thinking this one reached a sensible conclusion a page or so back, and now ought to be put out of it's misery before it devolves any further...
