The two sides did meet today, but it was to finalize revenues from last season.
I saw that too and it is hot air in my opinion. If this goes longer than the last, it won't matter if the players get a higher percentage of revenue because the pie will be a much smaller one. Like an apple pie from McDonalds instead of a Mud Pie from Claim Jumper.

I've always wondered. Why have the Sharks always been able to sell out almost every game since their existence while it has only started since 2010 for us (after the Gretzky era)? Does it mean SJ is a better hockey town than LA? [/randomtopicbroughttoubythelockout]

Too bad for him cause I think I saw Bettman trying on a Santa Anna costume in preparation for Halloween.

Because the Winchester Mystery house and the Earthquakes don't have the appeal the Sharks do.

Except that Gary doesn't know that Cotton Hill stole his wooden leg for his negotiations with the Mexican government.

Cotton also secretly replaced Gary's coffee with Folgers Crystals.

I get a kick out of how reps for the PA talk like all 700+ players know exactly what is going on, why they're locked out and what the specifics of the players offers have been. I call ******** on that, beyond the percentage of the split, I doubt 80%+ of the players know what is going on.

Well if Cleary is Cotton Hill in this analogy, he will be lucky if the owners decide to re-attach his feet to his knees after Bettman blows off his legs at the knee in these negotiations.

They are much more educated this time around than last. I do think it's all propaganda whenever a player says he expects it to last for a whole season, Fehr has likely told them all to say that.

I am enjoying watching a KHL game between torpedo nizhny novgorod vs. Dinamo Riga.
Kings prospect Maxim Kitsyn is in the lineup for Torpedo but hasn't had a shift yet in the game...
Current score is 1:0 for Torpedo.

PM for game link.

Edit 1: Score is 1:1 after 1st period, Kitsyn has (1:18min TOI). He looked extreme aggressive and stole the puck on the forcheck from a defensman and had two decent scoring opportunities on his first shift. The second shift was right at the end of the period...
His skating looks weird (stride similar to Simmonds).

Yeah, I'm watching Donbass take on Lokomotiv right now. Former Kings Alexei Ponikarovsky (current Jet) and Erik Ersberg are playing for Donbass. Ersberg's been solid, and he's had to be, Lokomotiv was all over Donbass in the first.

It's amazing how fast a period can go when there's no commercials, love that.

Not unexpected that Lokomotiv guys are somewhat better than Donbass..
Torpedo vs. Dinamo is a wide open game from both sides, 2 goals, 2 penalty shoots. There are many penalties (tripping, hooking) as the tempo is high.

Yup the game looks faster without those comercial breaks and there is way less neutral zone play in the KHL which makes the game look even faster.

Where are you guys watching these games? I ask because I allowed to have stuff going on a computer in the lab just for background noise. Be interested to have a KHL game going while getting some work done in the mornings.

Thinking of throwing on a suit and going downtown to put a bid in for AEG. Hopefully, I'll be pre-approved for purchase (I should be, I got at least 4 pre-approved credit card offers in the last 3 months), and can get in on the negotiations.

I'll go in, convince them that lockout=bad, ask Gary why he never has a second cup of coffee at home, and get the season rolling before they figure out I was trying to put the purchase on my Kohl's card.

Usually firstrowsports.eu or atdhe.eu work pretty good for me. Here's the link to the Donbass - Lokomotiv game http://aliez.tv/live/wanted/

(Then again, atdhe.net was shutdown by the Department of Homeland Defense before, not sure if in the US that will work...it should but no guarantees from me )

The broadcasts are in usually Russian (perhaps sometimes Slovak/Czech/Ukranian, idk I can't really tell the difference), so yeah, I turn the sound off since all I make out are the names.

Any free streams for Mora IK (that's where AK plays)?

EDIT: AK scored his first goal for Mora IK . Then he also made an assist for his brother .

Thanks for the links. I'll try them out but seeing as I'm behind insane corporate firewalls so there's a good chance they won't work... Oh well, we shall see.
