Ill join as the hurricanes if theyre still available. I do, however, oppose to your rule of forcing everyone to set their cpu to being playable. Of course we're not going to be able to play all of our human vs human games but that doesnt matter. You play as many as you can during the allotted time frame and whatever games you dont play get simmed. This keeps everything fair. Otherwise, not only is the computer stupidly easy to beat (especially on pro, or even all star) but people can take advantage of this and just play your cpu w/o trying or waiting to play you first. Im assuming this league will continue for multiple seasons and simmed games are going to be a part of the process. Im in 2 other leagues and there hasnt been any problems with not being able to play enough human vs human games. Also, isnt the whole point of playing online so that we can play other people and not the computer?

why would you give people free wins if they don't any of their games? Sim the remaining games that cant be played in an alotted time is stupid. If I try to message someone a couple times to get a game in when their online especially and wont reply back, im playin your CPU. If I cant make a game after someone messages me, then by all means play my CPU. But to give people a 50/50 chance on getting a win when they dont play a single game is stupid.

understandable, but what's to stop people from going straight to playing your computer just because you're not online for an hour? Id be okay if we'd agreed to having to set your cpu playable ONLY on sim days

good faith.. if someone has a history of playing the CPU before the last day before the sim period, they should be booted.
That said, you should ONLY play someones CPU as a last resort.
is it possible for the gm to reset a game (im toronto)? i played Anaheim fair and square a little bit ago but before that i didn't know what was going on and i played philidelphia's cpu and didnt think twice nor check these boards. now that i know we can't do that until the last day is it possible to reset the game or not? either way wont happen again now that i see whats going on.
What teams are open? I would like to join, if its between florida, mini and anaheim, I will take florida. If the flyers available I will take phili in a heartbeat. GT:spanakopi7a

Alright, I'll rescind the rule forcing you to set to sim. What I think is even more idiotic, it doesn't give GM's the power to set to sim beyond a particular simulation period. You have to re-enable it each time. Which is absurd, but whatever.
I still highly prefer that people do this, however, because in either instance many, many games are going to end up simulated. This way, at least you get to play the friggin' games, albeit against CPU.
And BigBenSF, if you traded for Ryan I think you're going to be disappointed. Sorry brother.

It's okay, accidents happen. No worries.
And if there is a team that is still vacant, you can play the AI if you are feeling bored. Just do not abuse this power.

I'm a Nashville HF guy, but I haunt/post on the Pens board. I signed up as Philly (alastairzander), since I know that no self-respecting Pens fan will.

Done and done.
Now we have 7 available squads to choose from. I'm shocked no one wants Boston or San Jose.
Boston
Carolina
Florida
Minnesota
New Jersey
NY Islanders
San Jose
No games till the league is full correct? Im assuming trades are okay seeing as anaheim got absolutely robbed by a blind man. Its not the worst trade ive seen but Phoenix wins every part of that deal by far unless that 1st turns into a top 5 pick.
IMO I think that deal should've still went through.. as it was already "confirmed" it was as if that trade was already made, and it would've been if the game was out then. Just because a new GM took over shouldn't negate the trade.. If a GM gets fired in real life, the new GM can't reverse a trade because he didn't agree with the last GM's decision making.
You traded 4 players total, all young pieces all with good or decent potential
for
4 aging players who have reached their peak or close to it
and 2 young players with good potential
Now lets look at the Rangers deal:
Ryan 25
for
Girardi 28
Bickel 25
Kreider 21
Here you get a good defensemen in Girardi, a depth defensemen in Bickel, and a young player with crazy potential in Kreider..
I may not have made the Ranger trade when it was presented, it would depend on where I was at with that team, if I made that trade. But there is no way I would make the trade that was accepted with PHX, not even if it was just Ryan, but Sbisa too?
