Oops - now that I read the fine print on the front page, it says Thursday, September 27th.

Yeah, I'm going to get coffee now.

From Sept 23 - Grenier's first goal overseas!

Salzburg Red Bull 5 KAC 2
Grenier 1 goal, 1 assist

And it was highlight reel material!
0:53 into the video (#59), Check it out... nice!

That was a pretty sick dangle on the D-Man; he almost lost the puck at the crease but he made a nice recovery. Nice way to score your first pro goal!

For those that want to watch just Grenier's goal without sitting through the rest of the highlights:

Play of the Day

Wow!

(It's funny when #16 Ryan Duncan comes over to celebrate the goal - he is listed at 5'6" while Grenier is almost 6'5"...!)

With AIK down 4-1, Nicklas Jensen connects on the PP to close the gap.

Both of his goals (and his assist) have come on the PP this year. Quite the specialist.

Attaboy!

To be fair, his team hasn't exactly lit it up at ES. For a 19 year old he's playing at a very high level so far.

Would be nice to have Jensen with the Sedins on the PP and move Kesler to the 2nd unit in a year or two. Much more dynamic PP when you have have two PP units that can do damage and much harder to defend.

Hey, if he racks up points, I don't care how he gets them. I'm perfectly pleased with his progress.

Frolunda lost 5-2 tonight, but Tommernes had 1G 1A and was a +1.

Can't wait to see some highlights. His second goal was his first ES point of the season as well. Nice to see him acquitting himself well amongst the big boys.

Henrik Tommernes also had a goal and an assist in a 5-2 loss for Frolunda.

EDIT: Beaten by Tim.

Nice start.

Boy am I happy that Jensen and Grenier are in Europe this year. Really like that they get to play against fully grown men.

Good start by everybody, can't wait for the NCAA season to start.

Really good goals by Jensen. They really couldn't have been placed better, especially the first one. Those shots would have been goals in the NHL as well. They were so well placed. Just goes to show what we already know, Jensens shot is already NHL level. And 4 points in 5 games, for a low scoring team in a low scoring league. Very well done.

Jensens wrist shot is deadly. It is very accurate and has a quick release. Totally different player than the other dane Hansen.

Think Jensen will be a good 1 or 2 second line goalscorer. He looks pretty good in powerplay. If i recall correctly, in his short stint in the AHL last year he cashed in most of his goals in powerplay.

Gaunce won't be at the shortened training camp if the lockout ends. Only Corrado will be invited from the Canucks CHL prospects.

Plays 8 games in the AHL, scores 6 goals.

"#88 NHL Prospect".

Now 4 points (3 goals) in 5 games, puts him in 2nd place in goal scoring for SEL.

Suck on that, hockey prospectus.

So, according to Bob Mac, Corrado is the sole CHL prospect eligible for recall if the lock out ends.

Looks like the others in Junior are stuck for the season.

You know, being on that list means they're already a very good prospect? Prospecutus is just going to think, "Yep, good thing I put him on that list."

I agree with you, but I know at least one member on this site who will claim that Jensen's PP points are less relevant than if they were ES. At least he's not Swedish
