Think your bank rings up excessive fees? Try an absurd $30.60 "convenience" gouge to order 4 tickets at FNC for A-A Prospects Game.

Oh, and then don't forget the $3 "order processing" fee. So 4 $20 tickets (100 or 200 levels) costs a total of $113.60.

I know I'll probably be met with hostility because I'm criticizing this, but this roster sucks.
The original quote was:

We view this game as an opportunity to gain additional exposure for hockey and help influence growth of the sport through showcasing the future stars of the game.

Not sure why all of the NTDP kids need "additional exposure" since every scout sees them a bunch of times anyways.
It should have been limited to non-NTDP kids from other USHL teams, high school, and wherever else they can find them, because those are the kids that actually need additional exposure.

Just pretend they're Canadian and all in the world will be good.

Thrilled Santini made it. I'm excited to watch him. The handful of HS games he played were wild to watch. Clearly a god amongst boys. Saw him with the Express as a youngster and have a few that I've coached who played with him at applecore on the island.

Implying that Jfb only likes Canadian prospects ? I don't get it.

I don't see how that would really change my feelings on this roster.

There are too many NTDP kids, too many overagers, and almost no HS kids (which are underexposed).
I mean, I guess Minnesota HS talent has completely dried up, because there's zero kids invited from there.
I doubt that's true though, so the scouting will just have to be left to the guys that specialize in it.
All of the kids that have already been seen plenty and will continue to have a bunch of eyes on them all year are there though.

They could have done a much better job IMO.

Just depends on if you want the best of the best, or the best of the unknown/unheralded/underscouted. Not sure how one would separate HS players like that since there are so many (without tryouts of course).

I would like to see something akin to the Empire State games, where we gather prospects from around the country and group them into 6-8 regions and hold a tournament. This allows for:

- a reason to strive to win
- tryouts in each region, so a handful of surprises could get noticed
- a sense that there are, indeed, top hockey prospects from around the country.

I wanted nothing more than to beat WNY in the ESG. I'd love to see a similar all American tournament of kids two years older.

Well, best on best is always intriguing but I was under the impression that it'd be best of the unknown, which is a better idea IMO because of how talent is spread out across different leagues.
It's not like in Canada where most of the best talent is in the CHL.
It'd probably be useful for management and additional scouts to see some of the unheralded kids, even if it's just in an exhibition setting, because they could mark them as kids to keep an eye on.

And they had no problem taking a couple NE HS kids.
If they can take some of those kids, they could have surely found some MN kids to take instead of kids like Farley, Lane, and Shore that have already been passed over because of their questionable pro upside.

There's tons of tickets left.

Ticket sales have been extremely slow. They range from $15 to $20 at the arena box office, but the password "Sabres" at Tickets.com drops the prices to $5 and $10.
Here's the link to purchase tickets: http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/Tick...se?pid=7297701

The "convenience fee" costs more than the tickets.

My USA Hockey registration just popped up a discount for adult tickets and just $5 for the kid-lets. I may take them...

Scotty Bowman to drop ceremonial first puck - http://www.usahockey.com/TopProspects_Bowman.aspx

Rosters - http://www.usahockey.com/TopProspectsGame_Rosters.aspx

(Sucks they have to split up the WNYers - guess they don't want all the fans in attendence cheering for one team.)

All-American Prospects Game News Page - http://www.usahockey.com/TopProspectsGame_Rosters.aspx

All-American Prospects Website - http://www.usahockey.com/TopProspectsGame.aspx

Glad game is being streamed as it doesn't look like I'm attending. LS...
