I know every year it seems like they hit rock bottom but I think they really hit it this year. The first inning was comical tonight.

That was a nasty rumor on Twitter about Cano. smh.
I wish Cano would sue.

Russell Martin is up to .206 18 HR and 48 RBI.

Dare I use the word respectable?

Yeah, he isn't a bad player.

I think people have far too lofty expectations on him to return to his peak form in his 2nd and 3rd seasons. Overall, he helps the team more than he hurts it.

Awards:
Very impressive that Dickey is 9-3 at home when the team is 12 games under .500 at home.

If the Yanks clinch 1st overall, they will open at either Baltimore, Chicago, Oakland, Detroit or LAA.

Its amazing how baseball has become like hockey in that you have no idea who you're playing with just two weeks left in the season.

USually there would be just one or two options this late in the season.

And the fact that we're even still worried about a spot this late in the season.

I still remember the days back in the late 90's early 2000's where we'd have the division wrapped up in August.

As a whole it's good for the game, but I can't say I don't miss the 90's

I don't know man, we've played like crap against the White Sox all year.

Also, I've been pretty hard on Granderson all year, but 40 homers is a nice number

77 appearances for Logan is catching up to him. Girardi should try giving him a few days off.

Hughes pitched. Game isn't on Hughes either. 99 pitches with a 2 run lead with 2 outs in the 7th, and Girardi didn't give him a chance, after he got a big strikeout.

Yes I know that. I was trying to say that they should have taken the first two going into CC's start but wrote CC not Hughes

Gotcha, should have won tonight, but at least the Orioles lost. Magic number for the division goes to 7, should be at 6 right now, frustrating.

I thought bringing in Logan was a good move since there was a lefty coming up. In fact next 4 hitters were all lefties.

Yeah, but look at the situation. Hughes just got a big strikeout and looked solid after getting it together that inning, and logan hasn't been great this season. 3 lefties are coming up the next inning that logan can face.

Yeah, I thought it was the right move too. Its Hughes own fault that he got pulled. He really struggled that inning and loaded the bases. He even fell behind in the count against their crappy number 9 hitter before he came back and struck him out. I thought Hughes was done.
