According to this TSN report, Peter might need surgery on both ankles, not just his right one. Poor guy never gets a break from injuries, or a healthy summer for that matter.

15 surgeries insaine, especially for both goalies and the worlds best has both his ankles out, our captain an d good dman out with concussion. I guess we should be happy that we even made it to the playoffs. Never like the whole injury excuss, but i dont htink there is much of a doubt now. next year we will be the bionic flyers...

It might have been easier to issue a press release saying who isn't having off-season surgery.

This is just insane. Reminds of that season the eagles had years ago when the entire team was injured.

Kinda puts the season in perspective now. The fact this team stayed at the top of its division should be a testament to its coach.

This is approaching 2003-04 L.A. Kings territory, although they lost more man-games during the season. This has to be some kind of record for postseason surgeries, though. Frankly, I am now surprised we almost won the division and took Buffalo to 6 games.
