I miss Jagr. If we lose a whole season of hockey and he retires it will be sad if he retires but awesome that he retired a Flyer.

All last season I wonder how Carter and Jagr would have worked together. A line of carter hartnell and jagr would be sick imo.

You guys are just a bunch of haters. He obviously saw 100 shots, there was no defense and only 1 other player on the ice.

Plus you didn't even take into consideration how he scored all three goals for his team. Always ignoring the positives. Damn Negadelphians.

Here's the highlights. He had some nice saves but he could've done better.

Honestly, some of those were some pretty damn good shots. High and right under the bar for two of them. And that was a pretty goal they had when they scored the 4th one.

I thought he was not 1/2 as bad for the guy who had not had a preseason and who had not played on European rinks for a while.

Matt Read follows Hagelin to Södertälje, as per their club director on twitter (@Mandarkan).

Where he will be re-united with fellow Bemidji State Uni-player Emil Billberg. They played together for 4 years, I think. Now I just wonder what's going on with Grossmann, he was almost a lock to play for Södertälje just some weeks ago but now I haven't heard anything for a while.

Also, if anyones wants updates on Read, that can be provided as I am a STH for Södertälje.

Their first match for Crimmitschau did not match the 3-4 ppg expectations. Chris Stewart assisted on the 2-1 OT game winner, while Simmons remained scoreless.

Maybe it was just the cultural shock going from a modern NHL arena to a 5.000 seat, partly open, stadium.

There are no Allsvenskan teams within commuting distance from me, unfortunately. Would have been nice to see Read play a couple of times. If they play him and Hagelin on the same line it will have to be the fastest one in the league at least.

Scott Gomez will try to regain some of the offensive touch he's had in the past by (re-)joining the Alaska Aces in the ECHL. Last lockout season he won the ECHL scoring title while playing for them, even if he only managed 13 goals. Joey Crabb and Nate Thompson will also play for the Aces. All three players are born in Anchorage. Matt Carle has unfortunately lost his scarf, but rumour has it that when he finds another one that reaches around his neck he might also head up north.
