That Main Event makes me think of the chorus from the song Runaways by the Killers.
Condit: "Maybe I'll just runaway!!!"
GSP: "I knew it when I met you and I'm not gonna let you runaway! I knew it when I held you, I wasn't lettin' go!"
Hehe, I kid, I kid.

Feels like GSP has been injured forever. I'm hopeful but I'll almost be surprised if it goes down the way things have been going.

Condit's 'belt' is still a real headscratcher for me. What is the point of an interim champ if he refuses to defend the belt..

He was open to rematching Diaz but Nick is a moron and got suspended.

Not to throw Carlos Condit under the same bus as Jon Jones, but that's Greg Jackson camp again.
I want to get amped about this fight, but I feel like it screams 25 minutes and boring.

Round 1 Starts
At 4:40 GSP takes Condit down and lays on him for the duration of the round
Repeat Round 1 for the subsequent rounds

I don't. I think Carlos knows his only shot is if he takes the fight to GSP. I think hes the best and most complete fighter GSP has faced in a long time. I expect a great fight.

Condit is also great off his back and at the very least will get off some elbows on GSP while on the bottom. Could be a fight where he deserves to win a couple rounds but the judges give it to the guy on top.
Also, the point of the interim belt was simple- to sell PPV's. Having a belt on the line made the Diaz/Condit fight seem much more significant to casual fans. That's about it for relevance for the interim strap.

Agreed.
Call me crazy but I wouldn't surprised if it ends with a finish.

He used his good footwork to avoid Diaz' flurries. He didn't run, but he sure wasn't out there to finish a fight.
Diaz won 1, 2 and 5.

I was a big Condit fan up until his last fight.
I will never support that garbage.
You go ahead and feel free to if you like.
Kalib Starnes fought with more heart.

One fight doesn't make a fighter. Comparing what Condit did to Kalib Starnes is outrageous.

This much more reasonable. I thought neither guy fought very well. We all thought it was going to be a war...well it wasn't. Carlos used his footwork to not get pinned and Diaz never adjusted and kept plodding forward. It was a close fight and could have gone either way. It means nothing now since Diaz got himself suspended.

It was a pretty lame gameplan, but Condits put on a ton of awesome fights. I agree with your thoughts on the fight but I'm not ready to give up being a fan of his after one brutal fight.

Kinda shows you who people think the real GOAT is.
All the big name fighters, current and former champions, want a shot at GSP.

Take a look at his recent work outs. An injured GSP is more dangerous then most fighters.

This makes no sense, unless you're seeing things through GSP-coloured glasses. Machida obviously isn't going to call out Anderson Silva, and he already got schooled by Jon Jones.
In what world does any of this equate to who fighters think is the GOAT? Do you just look for random reasons to declare GSP the GOAT?
