Bjorkstrand has 1st round skill level. He may fall to the early 2nd though due to his size and lack of physicality. He could rise if continues his current play though.
It's hard to peg this early since a lot of the draft literature really starts to come out closer to draft time. This thread is usually my best pre-draft source of info.
Obviously, I'd like us to take the BPA, whoever that is. It would be nice if that was a stud defender, but if it's a forward, so be it.

There is a lot of hockey to be played, and lots of people will rise and fall. Just look at last year, at this time I don't think anyone could see a scenario where Nick Ebert didn't go in the 1st round, in reality he ended being picked last of all.

I don't know, there was a pretty vocal group around here that thought he had no place being in the 1st or 2nd round since roughly February/March of 2011.

Interesting, I didn't remember that. I just remembered most pre-season lists slotting him quite high. But I'll take your word for it.

It wasn't a very big group (maybe like 3-4 posters), but they were convinced he was getting attention because he got to play with Ryan Ellis and thought that Ebert himself was a pretty mediocre prospect. They got a lot of crap for it at the time... haha.
Where would you guys rank local boy Nic Petan? Currently playing for the Winterhawks, and has 4 goals, and 8 points in 3 games. Not the biggest guy in the draft though...

I was more speaking hypothetically, or in the event of a complete missed season and we ended up with the top pick. I take MacKinnon over Jones 30 out of 30 times.

Meh, I'd rather add a franchise D than wing(Which Mackinnon would end up being on our team).

Why? He might start on wing but if he's halve as good as he's projected he'd be our 3C in 2 years. 2C in 3-4 years and our 1C in 5. Kesler can play wing and the Sedins won't be about forever. Nobody else we have comes close.

Even if it meant trading down a spot.
That'd be a good option if we wanted Jones anyway.

If we have the chance to draft McKinnon, I'd take it and run.
