What's with these Kings cast offs? Harrold now Parse? I guess Lou is transitioning from acquiring Atlanta captains (Holik, Kovy, and Havelid) to LA Kings castaways.
He and Lombardi are close Dean probably gives some pretty honest scouting reports to Lou.
After watching games from last year when Tedenby was still up I changed my opinion slightly. The talent is there, but he lacks finish big time. There were too many times I saw him on a breakaway all alone, or pulling some nice moves weaving through a bunch of guys but he had no finish at all.
As I've said though with how bad he is defensively he still needs to produce. I expect 10 goals a year from him maybe 15. Of course that's if the season was 82 games, and if he acquires a lot of points through assists, but doesn't score as many goals than I can also cut him a break. He needs to be scoring, because that's probably the thing he can do best if he can score. I'd start him on a 3rd line, and if he plays good give him some PP time, and maybe move him up to play with Elias if he looks real good.

I wonder what their relationship is like. I mean who's idea was it to put pictures of Lou in the urinals at Staples Center after the Devils signed Kovalchuk when he wouldn't sign with the Kings?

Probably a group of idiot fans.
Quote:
“I remember that day like it was yesterday — I was pretty scared,” said Lombardi, who brings his Los Angeles Kings to Newark tonight for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
“I came to see Lou, and the guy talked about nothing but infrastructure. Did not talk about players. He (shared his) organizational chart, spoke of the values you have to put in place. Not one iota about the team — just infrastructure and establishing a culture.”
Oh, Lamoriello also gave Lombardi a parting gift — call it an executive’s guide to dealing with other forms of sharks (media, fans, etc.). Actually, it was a list of quotes. Lombardi doesn’t say what erudition is contained within that volume, because he says it would betray a confidence, but he’s known for repeating epigrams from everyone from Winston Churchill to Tom Landry. They serve a purpose.
“He said, ‘When people are on you, and you start to doubt yourself, you take these out and read these quotes,’ ” Lombardi said. “They’re quotes from people about convictions and standing by them. I’ve still got it.”
Also, I hope Parse gets called up and wears number 9. Then I can just have the C on the front and the I in the back removed. How ironic, the I removed.
Parise will be a PPG player in the AHL....a terrific playmaker from the wing. Parse, Butler, Whitney, Tedenby, Wiseman and Pesonen as our top 9 wingers is freaking sick.

Figured it wasn't something that solely happened at Staples Center, but I think most Kings games I've attended have had somebody place cards of the opposition in the urinals.
No problem with adding Parse to the mix in the AHL. Albany could use the scoring depth, especially when the lockout ends *knock on wood*.

That is a solid AHL forward group. Henrique, Josefson, Wohlberg and multiple Zajacs too. Might have to send some to the ECHL, except we don't have an affiliate there anymore. Might be a bit odd.
My buddy went to all 3 games in LA since his buddies lived out there. They were Flyers turned Kings fans when they moved out west a couple of years ago.
My buddy refused to go piss on the Devils cards in the urinals. He said they didn't have cards of Devils players in the toilets. Just the urinals!
