I heard that too, but I don't know what his current status is.

Last I heard, KV was in Pittsburgh at Consol (up until they were locked out) working out and skating. That's good to hear.

Anyhow, I'm in the minority on this, but Veilleux will play in the NHL in 2013-14.

There is no way that is going to happen considering how much time he's lost in his development and add to that the fact that he cant stay healthy.

Exactly. Unless he absolutely tears it up for 82 games and playoffs this year he's not going to be in the NHL next season.

Can't see why Shero would be especially high on him, he's not a defenseman and while he does have an intriguing package of skills the fact is he can't stay healthy for more than 5 minutes.

As expected, Strait, Tangradi, and Bortuzzo signed AHL deals in time for WBS opening day camp on Friday. There will be a real struggle on the blueline to get all those prospects ice time if NHL camp doesn't open up.

6 goals and 5 assists in 6 games sounds good to me

If he's lucky he'll end up in Wheeling a la Andrew Orpik.

Here is the roster for Wilkes-Barre Scranton. Nineteen forwards, eleven defensemen, and three goalies. No surprises besides Michael Neal. Some very nice options for WBS and Wheeling.

Today was MSU-Mankato media day and I saw Teddy Blueger for the first time in person. I thought he looked pretty boyish...and then I looked at my roster info. He turned 18 just over a month ago. The Mavs first game is an exhibition against Lethbridge University a week from Sunday, which I'll be in the building for.

He's definitely going to need some time in the weight room, how did he look height wise?

According to the Sault Ste. Marie website Matt Murray is listed at 6'5" 163lbs.

http://www.soogreyhounds.com/roster/show/id/6772

Does that seem right?

Listed at 5'11" which makes him one of the shorter guys on the team. From what I saw of practice today, Hastings will be running a pretty fast paced offense which will help speed wise and prep him for the pros. I have no concerns yet about him...but this was just a scrimmage. Lethbridge will be where I'll be able to see his whole game.

Marcantuoni is pointless after 3 games. I know its only 3 games, but i would like to see him on the scoresheet soon

163 lbs I can definitely buy, the kids a beanpole. Height wise he could be 6'5 or equally as likely he could be just over 6'4 so they've rounded him up.

Thanks for info, looking forward to hearing how he does against Lethbridge.

I had wondered if this would happen, since I knew he played in Dallas' system.

If Murray could add some beef and keep the athleticism scouts say he has, we could have a pretty good goaltender on our hands.

WBS having an open practice right now. If someone out there is attending maybe we could get a report.

I was looking through the AHL rosters thread in the AHL forum and noticed two interesting things on Houston's roster. John Curry is playing there in training camp at least. The other is that Nick Petersen is listed on the roster. Which is intriguing because I thought the general consensus was that he was released because of his wife's MS. Houston seems a little bit far away from Canada. Not criticizing just perplexed.
