5:35, I see a guy get let it up, lays almost motionless on the ice and taken out on a stretcher, don't see him crawling anywhere. Standard procedure (at least in the US) is with any head and/or neck injury, your neck and head is immobilized. This is because if you have a neck injury, and you move your head and neck around, you could have an unstable fracture that could move around, causing paralysis.

When he is on the stretcher, he is moving his head and neck around. It's crazyness. Obviously it's just a precaustion, but the fact that the medical staff doesn't have his head and neck immobilized is kind of scary.

That's alI meant.

EDIT: Also, when you see someone get lit up like that and lay motionless on the ice, you are taught to assume the worst, which would be a neck injury. Does he have a neck injury? Probably not, but you treat it as such, just to be on the safe side.

I have to agree. No size, not enough scoring, but it's early. McColgan has til the Memorial Cup to redeem himself basically. If he has a good tournament, the Rangers will have to sign him.

When is HF going to post the Rangers top 20 prospects list? Seems like they've posted every other team.

Lindberg scoring the GWG tonight, in PP.
And Fasth logged two assists.

If Fasth/Lindberg were Senator prospects, they'd be hyped up like no other.

Lindberg's goal @ 1:20. He had a lot of time, but this is quite a snipe. Can't see whether it's deflected or not, though.

http://www.hockeyligan.se/index.php/...n-arena/38129/

Fasth picked up 2 primary assists on the 2nd and 3rd goal for HV71. They can be seen between the 00:45 and the 1:10 mark. While his first assist is kinda "accidental" - he doesn't really make the play here, I like his second one, because he sticks with the puck and is a step fast(h)er mentally than everybody on Rögle. The real conclusion, however, is Rögle really could use some help in goal...

Hi, welcome to the HF NY Rangers board. It's very friendly on here so please visit once again. We appreciate the tidbits on both Fasth and Lindberg.

I am curious to know how you think these two have performed, what they need to do better and if you think they can become NHL players.

Of course it's always a question of transition, but Fasth really needs to add some muscle (he did last offseason, he'll need to add even more). When Fasth is on his game, he can be found everywhere on the ice; he's aggressive, good along the boards, quickly accelerating, good defensively, reads a lot of plays early - a little comparable to Dave Bolland. From what I've seen and heard of him (spent a few months in Sweden) he's quite an intelligent guy, as well. Ideally he's a 2nd/3rd line tweener in the NHL. I think he has the potential to be a top-6 someday. He'll need to add some consistency and probably could pull the trigger more often.

I'm not that informed on Lindberg, just started paying more attention to him this season; but from what I've seen he's very good on faceoffs and can hold on to the puck effectively. I sometimes have the feeling he himself is surprised at his ability offensively. Could be a good 3rd line center in the NHL, probably needs some confidence (which should come along if he continues playing like this).

Thanks for the read!

We always appreciate insight like this.

I know it's early, but it's hard not to get excited about these two players. I think most Rangers fans are starting to develop higher expectations for these two.

I'm more reserved about Lindberg. I appreciate what he is, because this team seriously lacks a defensive face-off specialist like him (Halpern doesn't count, old free agent). Lindberg will be a very serviceable 3rd/4th line defensive center one day.

However, it is Fast that I'm VERY intrigued about. He has a lot of potential. As SoftEuro stated above all the things he does and the attributes he possesses, he is essentially a more offensively talented Hagelin. I think he is our best prospect besides Thomas.

I also think Lindberg can be a solid 3rd/4th line center. But his production at this age is intriguing. I believe he's at 8 pts in 7 games. That doesn't sound like much of a 3rd line player to me when you factor in the lack of secondary assist tallies in SEL along with bigger ice and lower scoring totals. But, obviously, it's unrealistic IMO to predict Lindberg to be a 2nd line center because many thought his ceiling was a 3rd line type player.

Fasth is complete wildcard. Hopefully he breaks out like Silfverberg did last yr. I just love what I'm hearing, shot, speed, intensity, hands, etc. Actually.... I hope he has a moderate season and then breaks out when he comes to play with the Rangers. Then HF will constantly shove down our throats on how overrated Fasth is just like McDonagh, Kreider, etc were overrated.

I expected Lindberg to be another version of Blair Betts but it's nice to hear he has some offense. If he can at worst win faceoffs, play good defense, pop in 12 goals a year, and PK, it's huge. Anything more and that is enormous.

Fasth could be that final top 6 piece you never know.

It's clear that these two and Miller could be very important to the future starting next year. With the cap coming down and these three on cheap deals, that would really help.

I said it last year, Lindberg has more offense in him. He isn't a black hole like Betts. He has very good hockey IQ and he has the skills he has just been out in a defensive role. He will be a 3rd liner in the near future.

They eventually lost in the shootout, Lindberg missed his PS. Still, a primary assist on his team's only goal, +1 and 69% on draws, a pretty good night. 5th in the scoring race after tonight.

Fasth scored a powerplay goal in a 4-1 victory. I didn't see it, but he was initially not credited for the goal. He is now tied for 2nd in goals at 4, the leader has 10 in 8 games.

If Lindberg can keep his faceoff % ridiculous and keep putting up points, i'll be really excited about him.

Fasth is definitely my new EASHL character

I'm becoming more attached to him, just like I was with Kreider.

Kind of sick Soderberg never made it to NHL. He's big too. Well I guess it isnt too late for him, if he wants to.

Also noteworthy, Lindberg & Fasth are at spot #1 & #2 in the unoffical scoreboard for "NHL prospects in the SEL". Two Rangers prospects at the top. In all there's 20-25 NHL prospects playing in SEL now.

Wouldn't say he never made it, he just didn't want to make it. Homesick and whatnot.
