I'm seeing reports on twitter that the Panthers have laid off their mascot, Stanley C. Panther.

I hope Bernie is alright (((((((((((((((((((((((

I think their starting goalie got injured so that might have something to do with it.
That is probably the best thing to happen to Varly. He'll get a chance to play for a full year and WORK WITH A GOALIE COACH!. Hopefully next season he builds his consistency and plays a little more conservative. I think his athleticism, which is his greatest ability, tears him down as the season goes along and that is not a good thing come playoff time.

I don't think I really care too much where the NHLers will play during this lockout.

I'll be catching some CC Tiger (college) hockey, but that's probably about all.

Landeskog on OTR said that right now he's not going to play but he will stay in Denver and skate. I guess like many he wants to see what happens during this month.

Funny how the ever reliable Aftonbladet today claim he will join Djurgården.

I hope he doesn't get to play there for a full year because that would mean no NHL until October 2013. The best thing for him is to play for the Avs in the NHL.

He also didn't wear down as the season went along. He actually played his best hockey in February and March. From Feb-Apr, he went 12-8-1 with a 2.00 GAA and .931 SV%. If the forwards played better, the Avs had a really good shot at making the playoffs.

Yea, I realize there was a part in the middle he had troulbe with and Giggy stepped in for a while. I should have reworded that and put in more effort to be accurate.

Oh well, good catch!

Hejda said in the most recent Denver Post article, he thinks the lockout will last until November.

Varly has officially signed with Lokomotiv. I don't know if Lokomotivs twitter mentions it or not, considering I can't decipher Russian, but Dmitry Chesnokov is reliable.

I'm really happy for him, he said it will be a honour to wear the Loko's jersey this year, since this season marks the new beginning for Lokomotiv.

I wouldn't mind a couple players signing with the Denver Cutthroats since that might be the only hockey I get to see this year. Even if its just some of the system guys

Dater says there's reports O'Reilly is close to signing in the KHL. Would be ironic if he signed there before re-signing with us...

Well thanks for narrowing it down Pagnotta. The leading candidate would have to be Djurgarden though, now that the SEL has lifted their ban on opt out clauses.

Expected him to wait longer than this though based on what we've read recently.

Djurgården is unfortunately not in the SEL anymore. Due to relegation last year.

However, the SEL has NOT lifted their ban of lockout-players. The second league, where Djurgården currentely plays has not a ban on lockout-players. Hence why Anze Kopitar plays there with his brother.

That's right, I did hear that recently. Showing my ignorance with the European leagues I suppose.

Patrik Hörnqvist was too expensive for Djurgården because of insurance, which means they were looking into signing an NHL player. Landeskog wouldn't cost as much to insure.

Djurgården har confirmed interest in Landeskog a long time. The Hörnqvist deal was a special case, apparently he couldnt be in sweden longer than 30 days, without getting hit a huge tax-thing...

Djurgården hasn't heard from Landeskog though, but has confirmed their interest in him several times. Have spoked to his agent.
