Looking forward to it but I'm going to stay away from the thread this season. It definitely would have taken my ignorant ass a bit longer to notice the big surprise from last season than some of you did. That kind of spoiled things for me a bit. Would have liked to have seen if I noticed it before they told us.
haha same here, some posters here are too smart
from the trailer, it seems like dexter is going to moved from "killing bad guys only" to "killing people that might reveal him". i really didn't think deb's life will be at risk but the trailer seems to indicate otherwise.
Not gonna watch this show ever again. Last time I was watching this show on netflix at 2 am when I gotta call from my parents telling me that my uncle had died.
I really enjoyed he last season alot more then the 4th, the religious parts were just amazing and really wellexecuted. Tho its even better that they will go back to season two and the continue on "the "ay harbour butcher" plotline. Judging from the trailer i cant see Dexter making it out alive when this show is over, he just gets deeper and deeper into trouble every time and we all know how that usually ends.
Pretty excited about this season now after listening to Alan Sepinwall and Daniel Fienberg on their podcast reviewing it. They said the first few episodes they've seen are soo much better than the last couple seasons.
Aye. Every season I watch I wish they'd stuck to the books. Maybe not Deb finding out so early but the aforementioned stuff + Doakes and the villain in book 2
This show has been downright terrible the past few seasons. I'm not even sure it's worth the time to watch it anymore.
The first 3 episodes of the season are getting great reviews so far, even from people who gave up on the show last season. This season has loads of potential, so I'm hopeful it will at the very least be much better than seasons 5 and 6.

Book 3+ spoiler:
Spoil:
What about the supernatural stuff that happens later in book 3 and on.
LaGuerta manages to spot a blood slide from that distance amongst debris and under a grate. Ooooookkkkkay!
The sun reflected on it ! Yeah, a little far fetched.
That said, I feel this season has the potential to be a lot better than the last 2 seasons. I'm cautiously optimistic. They can still salvage this with 2 strong seasons.

I thought the episode was decent. They didn't prolong the Deb's full realization of who Dexter is over several episodes. That could have been annoying. Quinn was good. I thought the Airport scene was a tad bit unbelievable considering the circumstances but that plays in to Dexter not being unable to control himself. The ease at which he pulls it off is a stretch.
Dexter abducting and killing someone in a major international airport. Wouldn't a place like that have any cameras anywhere?
Outside of that, I really enjoyed the episode. It felt more like an "old" Dexter as opposed to the previous two seasons. The ending was great.
Yeah, I mentioned that scene in my post above. It's the type of unbelievable stuff the writers have been doing for the past two years. It should be a bit more challenging to pull that off, if not nearly impossible. It didn't even need to be in the episode.
