The D held them to FGs ALL the time outside of once. You simply cannot ask for more than that. This team should've been able to beat the Eagles with the D playing like that. There is no excuse for what Eli did in the end zone. None. He got sloppy and reckless and it cost this team a win against a division rival.

4 more yards and Tynes drives it home. His range is riiiiight around 50 or so to reliably hit it. He's got a hell of an accurate leg and drove that kick right down the middle. Just a tad short.

Ramses Barden lost us that game when we were in 44yard field goal range.

If Nicks plays this week we win. Simple.

I agree.

I'm mad, but all I can think about is how ridiculous the offense can be when Nicks is fully healthy with Cruz.

I had no problems with the offensive pass-interference call on Barden there, but, what are we doing going long like that in that situation? Thought that was a bad decision.

Eli's pick in the endzone is inexcusable. I liked that the D was hitting Vick every chance they got, but they were getting to him 2 seconds too late every play. Allowing McCoy to run free in the second half was horrendous. Stevie Brown played well, but Phillips going down early really hurt.

0-2 in the division is bad. Have to take care of Cleveland next week, no excuses.

Our offense is ok but it is so one dimensional. We now have the sexy fantasy team numbers offense instead of a balanced one. 2.7 yards per carry today.

Actually, a good D doesn't allow points, nor does it look apathetic when the other team is running the ball. Other teams make Vick look human, Giants make Vick look like a superstar.

Even then, we still had the ball, it was only 3rd down, there was no excuse to not try to get a few more yards along the sidelines.

That last drive looked so alien to what I expect to see from everyone involved, from Coughlin to Gilbride to Eli.

NFL allowed someone who shot himself with gun and he doesn't face the scrutiny that Vick does.

I'd say that's a problem, but I just don't see teams shutting down a healthy Nicks AND Cruz. They can know whats coming, but I don't see how they stop it consistently.

We need to pass to open up the run, because doing it the other way around doesn't work.

I want to see more David Wilson.

the one bad thing about eli is that he still is prone to make bad decisions when throwing the ball at times. he seems to always ignore a defender that is reading where he is gonna pass the ball so he could just cut through the route and intercept the ball. he needs to do better at reading defenses. its a shame cause he had a pretty good game despite that costly pick. barden didnt really help him out at times and plus he had his number one receiver out.

Sure our passing attack and receivers are a nice bunch.

But we're 2-2 and 0-2 within the division. That ain't gonna cut it. Right now the best we can hope for is a 10-6 wild card berth, but with our upcoming schedule that is a daunting task indeed. We've forced ourselves into a 8-4 season, we have games against

the 49ers
the Ravens
the Steelers
the Packers
the Falcons

literally we will need a minor miracle to make the postseason.

Nicks missing tonight was HUGE. These other guys just aren't that good.
Yeah Hixon had a good game but he's not very reliable. I think this was his first 100 yard game in 4 years. Barden also screwed up when he didn't maintain possession. Would have been a good yardage for a 1st down.

Reminds me of the Dolphin/Jet game when the Phins kept trying to throw bombs even though they were in field goal range.

Puzzling!

If they don't throw the ball to Barden which got the PI, would it have been a 44-yard field goal attempt?

the have to right the ship next week with their last "easy" game against the browns. and i say easy with quotes cause i feel that has trap written all over it. hopefully they dont take the browns lightly just cause they are winless. after that there really arent any easy games in my opinion.

Disappointing loss. Kevin Gilbride is so frustrating.

On a positive note, Prince was great. Completely shut down Maclin. Hopefully he keep it up, Webster has really lost a step.

Yes.

Brown only 5 carries....
He would have been the better runner against this Eagles defense.
Bradshaw cuts/dances too much.

Like I said bad coaching/game plan.

I'd throw the Saints into that hard schedule mix. I don't care how 0-4 they are. Drew Brees CARVES our team up. We get routed every single game.

For ****'s sake! They could have ran it once or twice and given Tynes even less yards to worry about.

Just..dumb!

Look at what Arizona did to both New England and Philly. That's a good D. What we have..is a joke.

Where's Tuck? Where's Osi? For crying out loud, Blackburn was the only one who got a sack on Vick!
