Usually the day after the fake game was supposed to be played for real, you will see the highlight package.

Thats actually a decent offer if you're looking to solidify the D depth. I'd consider.

Am I the only one who can't watch past the first few seconds? Video always stops right at "the canucks take on the oilers in game 4 of the fake pre-seas..."

Worked fine for me.
Not really interested in Souray, I'd rather call up a Corrado/Connauton and keep our 2nd rounder if depth is needed.
Although how does drafting work? Can players "fall" and become steals in the 2nd round?

it's rare someone falls. Even if they do, it's only 1-2 spots. EA said they made it so that in the first few rounds, teams would take BPA. IN the later rounds, they would draft by needs. Something like that.

Higgins is certainly looking dynamic. Ditto for Kassian and (!!!!!) Raymond.
Is it just me, or are like 90% of the shots in these games top cheese? (high glove side)

Thank you for the sticky kind sir.
And I agree, a lot of top shelf goals. I am wondering if I lower the CPU difficulty from Superstar to All-Star if they will get some more grinding goals instead of everyone looking like Joe Sakic.
To be fair, though, the more I play NHL, a high percentage play is top shelf. That or low shot pad side, goalie kicks out Cloutier-esque rebound, and you can bang it in easily. They need to tighten up the rebounds considerably in NHL 14.

^^ Pretty soon, you won't be able to score at all. Games will be 2-1 or 1-0. Just like the real NHL!

Just for fun, I thought it would be neat if people could vote on opening day roster spots. So if you want to vote on starting goalie, 2nd line center, and number 6 d-man, do it here:

Luongo and Schroeder easily for me, close call between Tanev and Corrado, went with Corrado.
