Poms will be playing for Team Montreal in the inaugural game of “Le Tournée des Joueurs” that starts Thursday in Chageauguay, a suburb of Montreal.

If you're downtown for your lunch hour on Friday, you can get a hockey fix:
Quote:
Friday’s opening practice sessions at First Niagara Center are scheduled to run from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and will be open to the public.

Practices at BCA next week will also be open to the public.

HC Slovan Bratislava link

IMO, HC Slovan has one of the best logos on the planet:

For those wondering about a stream.. I hardly ever see NLA out there, so don't get your hopes up.
They may start popping up because of NHL'ers playing there, but no guarantees.

Those shinny practices will be losing a bunch of guys once that Amerks camp kicks off tomorrow, so I expect the next 7-10 days will be when the remainder of our guys will announce their Euro plans.

There was an article in todays Buffalo News about this -

http://www.buffalonews.com/apps/pbcs...120929212/1004

Poms article about him leaving to play in charity game in his native Quebec -

http://blogs.buffalonews.com/sabres/...ve-quebec.html

Looks like Montreal won - score was 6-3 Montreal at one point with Poms scoring two goals.
heres a link to a photo taken after the game - Poms is almost dead center, wearing #29 -
https://twitter.com/LaTDJ/status/251.../photo/1/large

Update - Final was 7-4 Montreal - Poms finished with two goals.

Rip off or vast improvement? I say the latter.

I think that logo doesn't look like a 90 year old design. I think it is a safe assumption that at one time or another, perhaps several times, the Slovan team has had logo changes.

Ennis and SC Langnau Tigers lost to HC Fribourg-Gottéron 2-1 in a shootout. Ennis didn't take part in the shootout - probably have to earn that honor - can't just walk right in and take one since your a NHL player. He didn't get a point on the lone Tiger goal. Although he may have been on the ice for it as one of his linemates (Kurtis McLean) scored it and the other (Lukas Haas) assisted on it. According to the very short match report - looks like Ennis had a scoring chance in the first two minutes of the game. Heres a link to the "boxscore" - http://translate.google.com/translat...ed=0CCUQ7gEwAA

I found this on the same site, should answer your questions:

Remarks:
SCL Tigers without Baumle and Simon Moser (both injured) and without Ennis and Spurgeon (work permit arrived too late).
HC Davos at Jan von Arx, Sykora, Guggisberg and Schommer (all injured)

What you posted are the scratches for last Thursdays game. I don't see where that answers my "questions" if Ennis was for sure on the ice for the goal or why he didn't take one of the shootout chances in Saturdays game. (He didn't take a shot in the shootout because he didn't play against HC Davos on Thursday? I don't buy that at all.)

Or are you saying he didn't take part in the shootout because he didn't play in the game? Well he definiately played in the game as he was listed in the lineup and was mentioned in that very short game report which said "he got a shot" in the opening minutes.

Wow. Kind of a shocker. I didn't think they would be able to afford his insurance. I think his insurance is around 90k a month.

Well, they're apparently still figuring that out:
