There are some very skilled 97's in LSL this year. I am not sure if they will all make their respective Midget AAA teams but they are the top players coming out of bantam IMO. Some have already been mentioned but this is my quick list in no particular order.
Maxime Fortier (WI), Alex Payusov (Verdun/Lasalle), Trevor Butler (Lakeshore), Matthew Lamargese (Lakeshore), Jordan Ty Fournier (WI), Skylar Strumas (Deux Rives), Taylor Ford (Trois Lacs), Jeremy Bouchard (Beauval), Michael Cohen (DDO), Tommy Bellemare (Verdun/Lasalle), James Povall (Deux Rives), Sean Campbell (Verdun/Lasalle)

Are they all part of the Lions territory ? Or at their camp ?
I am not being hard on him I just said he had a good season last year in midget.
right! and it comes with the territory of being labelled potentially "the best 97 in the world. He had a great season for a 14yr old. To be in the category of best 97 in the world, he needs to have a dominant season now when he will finally be playing against kids his age.

I agree with you , I think he has been hyped up by people and he has not been able to live up to those expectations he was phyisically bigger than all the kids his age but that gap is getting closer, he still is a very skilled player but has much to work on like every 15 year old player.
Dalton Doire should be a good guy to watch in the upcoming QMJHL he is from massahusetts, he s 15 years old and plays for the New England Stars Junior A U20 team not bad for a 15 year old goalie.Check him out at http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=197819
[QUOTE=Stephenson84;53533229]Layton Parsons and Colby Tower that I've watched who should be fairly high round picks. Very different players, but both highly skilled.[/QUO
Would they be the two best prospects in NS? what about the Welch kid from HFX?
When is the new tourney in Halifax being held?...and what NS players do you think will be selected for the U-17 team Atlantic?
the tournament will be in early Jan '13, check the NSMMHL website as to location.
lots of good '97s in the province; some have progressed more than others and season is still early...Monctonian will be a good starting point for rankings
Will Bower is having a great start to his season, as well as J-M Leblanc, both players have a great chance of getting drafted if they keep up their play.
Not much talk on '97s, there is a ton of high end talent available in this draft, but the depth just isn't there... I've seen a few games, and it's obvious that no PEI kids will get drafted, at least on the two teams. There are a few kids away, (Sanderson, Cormier, Evoy), who may or may not be doing well. Luc Deschenes, and J-M Leblanc should be the two best players coming out of the league, a close second tier would be Jake Vance, and Will Bower. These four have been major standouts for me, and another kid who although seems very awkward, Taylor Leblanc, 98 playing with Fredericton. Tall and lanky, but has tons of time to fill in to his frame. He's very strong, and has a great knack for going hard to the net. Look for him to go high in 2014…
