I see they ship up to a distributor in State College, I definitely might give them a call and see if they have a variety pack of some sort to check out. Lots of different pumpkin beers too, a Pumpkin Stout sounds amazing.

Yep, Dark o' the Moon is great.

Elysian loves pumpkin beer so much that they have a festival each year. 60 different varieties. That might a bit overkill for me, but still could be a good time. But when isn't a beer festival, though?

picked up some of this:

i think Rogue and Anchor are two breweries that i've come to complete trust and would blind buy nearly anything (as opposed to somebody like 21st Amendment, who i've found to be a bit more inconsistent, but i still love them).

eh, to each his own. It's a good lager, but I prefer Great Lakes Dortmunder and the Full Sail Session lagers. I'm not a big Lager guy anyway so that has something to do with it.

I've almost made that trip for five years in a row it seems. Will happen soon.

Early fall is the time to go with the scenery and of course Pumking. Supposedly a decent wine region but I'm usually disappointed by the niche wine scenes.

Rock Bottom supposedly has a pumpkin hefe on tap. A friend said he had it over the weekend, which could be anywhere from Friday to Sunday.

Not sure if it's worth venturing down for a beer or two tonight. Maybe.

Yesterday picked up some
Weyerbacher Insanity (4pk)
Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale (4pk)
Tommyknocker Small Batch Pumpkin Ale (6pk)
Great Divide Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout
Anchor Steam Beer (6pk)
Mixed a 6 pack with:
2 Tommyknocker Butthead Doppelbock's
2 Sierra Nevada Tumbler Autumn Brown Ales
1 Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA
1 North Coast Red Seal Ale

Going back to this liquor store in a few hours because they didn't have my special order Appleton 12 year rum in yet when I was in yesterday.

Smiling Moose had Dogfish 120 on tap last night. One glass is plenty. There might be a chance that it's still on.

Got Dogfish Pumpkin, Southampton Pumpkin, Saranac, Elysian Night Owl, Blue Point, and something else not worth mentioning. Easily - and I mean EASILY - the best was the Elysian.

Dogfish may have been the worst. And I was looking forward to it the most.

I just had a chocolate pumpkin porter on tap today by a brewery called Evil Genius, I never heard of them before. It was very good, the mouthfeel was alittle light but it tasted pretty good.

I mean, I would have loved it in comparison to some cheap, regular beer. I went out of my way to get 6 great pumpkins today and that happened to be the worst.

I don't want to tell anyone their business, but if you like pumpkin beers, the Elysian Night Owl Pumpkin is the best I've had. And I've had pretty much every one over the last month.

As you all know, though, it's about preference. Most everyone told me that the Dogfish Punkin was stellar. So maybe it's just me. My friend was taken aback when I said that I found one much better.

Any of y'all ever try Paulaner Oktoberfest???

Our LCBO's have gift packs of them which come with a 1 litre can of it and a big 1 litre mug for about $13.50.

They look like this:

Am trying to decide whether I should buy one.
