Jump on this gold one, they are getting harder and harder to find:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/TEAM-CANADA-...item4607628c0c

This black one too, but it's a XXL:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MENS-XXL-EC-...item53edf02536

The RED ones are at Hockey Life!

Free jersey. It's all yours. You just need to pay for my return flight from Jakarta to Ottawa, so I can get it out of storage for you.
The first part of this post made me very happy.

Then you let me down.

Actually saw the gold auction and was tempted to get in on it. Wanted to confirm with Bonk that it's legit.

It's Legit. It's not a Pro one with a fighting strap (ultra rare), but it's Legit.

Here's another somewhat rare '96 World Cup jersey, just missing the chest patch that you also buy on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Autographed-...item2ec18a2774

Then there's the 1979 NHL jersey that replaced the All Star game that year: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ULTRA-RARE-1...item43b0a1f44e

Also, nows a good time to get yer game on witha '72 Summit Series jersey: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PAUL-HENDERS...item460107dd97

man, I'm hooked on jersey's!!!!!!

I find a disproportionate amount of cheap, ebay marketed, or otherwise easily obtainable jerseys are size XL.

Are fat people anti-jersey?

EI Sports and Collectibles in Blllings Bridge mall has/had two Lemieux Pens jersies on clearance for $99 each when I was there Wednesday night. One was the alternate yellow Pens jersey and the other was the old black Pens. The yellow was a Large, actually I think both were.

I really debated getting the yellow Lemieux jersey.. it's a beauty.

Didn't see this topic until now.

I got the last 1992-93 Stanley Cup Finals Patrick Roy jersey at EI Sports and Collectibles in Billings Bridge for $99 3 weeks ago.

Perhaps it's just harder to sell XL jerseys?

- People buy XL's to fit over equipment, hoodies, etc...
- Wearing jerseys "Baggy" has been a trend for 15+ years
- jerseys have historically not been sized well for tall people, who need to go up in size to accommodate for length & sleeves.

There are way more XL jerseys out there than any other size, AINEC. More XL's being sold = more used XL's out there on the resale market.

Source: I managed a pro shop for years, tracked inventory.

What is the cost of changing a Dany Heatley jersey to a Smith jersey?

Is it cheaper than changing to a different number altogether?

I'd also like to know this for a Leclaire -> Silfverberg adjustment.

Probably not very much.

The closest I've ever come to finding myself in that sort of situation, was when I bought a game worn Olympiques jersey off of Kijiji. It still had the numbers on it, but it was missing the nameplate and the A. I took it to Play It Again, and they sent it out. A new nameplate and a new A came out to $30.

Unless the old nameplate is glued down, I can't see there being any charge to have it removed.

Just went there Today, and all he has left is a '86 yellow Penguins Mario jersey, in the Vintage section.

I had my Heatley changed to a Smith including removing the "A" at Houle Sports in Orleans for like $50 which was a bit pricy but it was hand sewn. I was told it is much much easier to remove an actual stitched on name/number/logo etc... than a pressed on namebar etc... fyi, also it is less likely to leave a noticeable mark.

We usually charge you an extra customization fee for removing names/numbers. $100 for the removal, $100 for the customization.

Holy crap! $100 for removing the name would be outrageous. I doubt it would be a full $200 to take off and replace just the nameplate.

Like I said, getting my Carrier jersey restored (replaced nameplate and A) cost me $30 plus tax. I took it to Play it Again Sports, and they deal with a company called Thread Illustrators. Thread Illustrators has a great reputation (and they do all of the on ice Olympiques customisations), but they don't deal directly with the public. I'd be very surprised if they couldn't make up a Senators nameplate.

If the old nameplate is sewn and glued down, it can be pretty horrible to get it off, but if it's only sewn down there's really no reason to pay anything more than a couple of dollars to have it taken off. If it's only sewn down, and they want to charge you more than a couple of dollars to remove it, go down to Walmart, buy a seam ripper, and carefully take it off yourself. Also, if you have an A on it, I wouldn't suggest taking it off. You're going to see the edges of the old nameplate, but they will be mostly or entirely covered over by the new one. On the other hand, you're going to see the outline of the old A if you take it off.
