#CBA Didn't sound likely at this point but Daly did not rule out involving a federal mediator in future

A Washington Federal mediator is on stand by, but won't be part of the process because both parties are still talking.

My god, what a joke this league is. I understand why the NHL won't bring another offer to the table, and I understand that the NHLPA feels that this isn't "ping-pong."

Fellas, these are NEGOTIATIONS. There needs to be give and take from BOTH sides. Schedule a meeting, sit the **** down, and get some progress going.

For ****s sake.

I have just about lost patience. The longer this goes, the less I will care about professional hockey. Which is sad, its my favorite sport, a sport ive played for the past 15 years and still do. The New York Rangers are my passion. But ya know what? Like being in love with a girl you thought you'd never be able to live without, once some time goes by without her in your life, you move on, find other things and you don't end up missing it as much as you thought.

The NHL runs a serious risk of losing true, die-hard fans. If this can break my resolve and patience, it can break anyones.

**** this whole thing. Seriously.

Unless something happens very soon, I won't give a **** about half a season. I won't be going to any games, or buying any merchandise. I want a FULL season. Nothing less.

This may be dumb and probably already said, but why don't they each take the other's proposal and play?

Example. If PA's offer was the Owners to take 45, and the Owners's offer was for the PA to take 45, why not each get 45, put the rest of 10% money into escrow, and divide up the money when the CBA is complete so they can at least play and still make money? To add onto this example, if they come out 50/50 split, split the rest of the 10 depending on what they agree upon?

Let me know if I don't make any sense and I'll clarify.

Your entire post is a wild contradiction to me. You try to portray yourself as a true die-hard hockey fan, but you're willing to stop watching if theres a half a season? Thats strange. Hockey fans are a loyal bunch - they may ***** and whine about these proceedings, but the vast majority will be there to watch the games once they start up again, whenever that is.

Thousands of projects and plans get delayed every single day because of labor disputes. I've accepted these things as a part of life so, while disappointed, Im not going to erupt because its happening to hockey again.

Ill watch it again as soon as its on. But the key word is watch. If you really want to make a statement stop going to games, buying merchandise, etc. Hit them in the pocketbook so they have less money to argue about and you'll see things change.

Basically they get a guy in there to lead the proceedings. Someone without an agenda.

Sounds like a good idea because the guys in the room right now cant agree on the time of day let alone what to do with $3B+.

How is that even possible if all salaries and cap hits are publicly published?

Apparently we cheat the system and falsify our contracts and all that. "You know the Rangers lie and say they used this much instead of the truth" is what she told me...when they're all reviewed and valdidated... faith in humanity Is gone

NHL offered 49 percent going down to 47 for the players in their last deal. I felt another three percentage points making it 52 going down to 50 would have been fair for both sides. Those three percentage points were just lost in the preseason according to Daly's comments. League and the PA are so ****ing stupid.
