The Kontinental Hockey League has reached an agreement with ESPN on TV-broadcast of the current KHL Championship games. The games will be broadcast in the USA, in the territories under the control of the U.S. government, as well as in the UK, on ESPN3 channel, which is available in more than 73 million households in the U.S.
ESPN3 has more than 3500 live broadcasts per year and is mostly concentrated on NCAA football and basketball, NBA, MLB, ICC and FIFA soccer.
During the first decade of October, the channel will broadcast five KHL games. The planned schedule includes:
Dynamo Moscow vs Ak Bars on Oct. 3rd;
Lev vs SKA on Oct. 6th;
Slovan vs Dynamo Moscow on Oct. 7th;
CSKA vs SKA on Oct. 8th;
Lev vs Dynamo Moscow on Oct. 9th.
One thing is for sure, since the lockout NA sports networks are taking a huge interest in the KHL ie. promoting news stories etc... The Globe and Mail, ESPN, TSN have all been active with the KHL in recent weeks.
Here is a nice interview by the Globe and Mail with Garnett :
If you have ESPN on your cable/satellite provider, you can watch on the ESPN website for free
the thing is i live in Europe, i just want to watch the game with english comentators to compare them to our russian ones, lol )))
and y, i dont have ESPN, so no chance for me?
okay, maybe some highlights after the game will be on yt )
Same here, I actually submitted an entry in the contest. However, the file was too big to send over email. The hr person told me to try some other way so I uploaded it on youtube.... but it got auto copyright banned... Then I tried some other video sharing site but it also failed.... Too much of a hassle. Then I thought to myself, how many communication majors are also computer hacks that would be able to figure this out? Answer - 0 ...This is why they have nobody.
