*this is all speculation on my behalf, take with a huge grain of salt.
Yonkman seems to have picked up the speed aspect of his game, from what I have noticed so far in camp. Foster seems to be doing better in training camp, from what we saw last season. Strachan was at camp today but not yesterday, sorry to say I really did not notice him too much on the ice.
Seems to me it looks like we will be a big team, size wise. Which could go either way for us.
Bryan McCabe has been here for training camp, he is usually on with one group at a time. Also on hand are; Robb Tallis(Goaltending Coach), Brian Skrudland(Director of Player Development), Scott Luce(Director of Scouting), Dave Zenobi(Head Athletic Trainer), and Craig Slaunwhite(Strength and Conditioning coach). There were also a few other Panther personnel there. Santos was there Monday but not today.
Why isn't Gudbranson playing with San Antonio? The experience of playing in the AHL during the lockout would be beneficial for him and would help his development in the long run.

Gudbranson is injured. It's his shoulder IIRC. He should be out for about 4 months.

He's out until January with an injured shoulder. When he comes back if there is still a lockout, I think I heard somewhere that he will be in San Antonio.

You're right about that size thing:
Drew Shore 6-3 190
Alex Petrovic 6-4 193
Tyson Scrachan 6-3 205
James Wright 6-4 205
Nolan Yonkman 6-6 251
Jacob Markstrom 6-6 195
Dale Tallon said he likes size, and that's exactly what he has brought to this organization. Although a couple of those guys were here before he got here.

Guds just tweeted yesterday that he just got out of his sling. Still along ways off but progress anyway.
From what I saw at the preseason game on Saturday, the team just looked out of it. Texas played a much better game system wise. We took most of the penalties in the game, the refs were a bit whistle happy. Markstrom took a puck to the either the throat area or more to the mask during the game but I think it mostly hit the bottom of his mask. DN might be able to clean that up more than me, as I was at the other end of the ice when it happened.
Andre Deveraux, Jean-Francois Jacques and Justin Vavie. All over 6'2" and over 220lbs, if need be I know they all most certainly can fight if they need too.
Talked with a couple guys and coach at media day yesterday.
-Weber said he doesn't mind an aggressive team, but there is a fine line, and it's up to the players to know when to cross it. He thinks a couple of players maybe took some liberties because it was the preseason. Now we know it doesn't matter as Deveaux was suspended for the opening game for his Match Penalty on Saturday.
-Also said they will use their size and speed to pressure the puck. He wants to see them winning battles and competing. The roster is set but there are a couple of guys still fighting for a job.
-Jason DeSantis is out for this weekend barring a miracle. (Thanks Lindstrom)
-Team is carrying 8 D-men until he gets back.
-Howden is really excited to get started. Wants to be a leader on this team.
-Overall feeling I get from the team re: lockout rosters of divisional rivals:
Good for them. But we have NHL level players as well. We just play our game, we can win.
I will be covering the Sunday/Weeknight games from the press box this season. If there is interest (and I can get into the ATT Center WiFi), I can use this board as an update tool. Let me know. I don't want to put in the work if no one is going to read.

I actually make a point of opening the Rampage thread every time I venture onto the Panthers board as I open the prospect sticky as well. I would love a few words about each game either after, or like between periods and such.

Shot hit Markstrom in the side of the mask. Heard a distinct smack sound. Saw him yesterday and he had no visible marks, so I'm guessing it just shook him up a bit.
Vaive will throw. Jacques and Deveaux are more inline with the "taking terrible penalties" crowd. We saw that first hand on Saturday. I have a feeling they will both (especially Deveaux) be a huge source of frustration this season.

I will be doing a raw version of a liveblog, just writing my thoughts over the course of the game, and then posting it to my blog after the game after every game I cover. Still trying to figure out weekend night games as that is "family time". I will still have something posted, but it's usually mostly from memory.
I could give live updates here though as well if there is enough interest.
The following players have been assigned to the Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL): forwards Mattias Lindstrom, Anthony Luciani, David Pacan, Garrett Wilson; defensemen Brian O’Hanley and goaltender Brian Foster.
Defenseman Rasmus Bengtsson has been assigned to his junior hockey club, the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the United States Hockey League (USHL).
The Rampage have released the following players: forward Francois Bouchard and defensemen David MacDonald and Andrew Hotham.
Does anyone know where to find the boxscore for the game? i couldn't even find it on theahl.com. i must be overlooking something and any help would be appreciated.
click under gamecenter on theahl.com site. Just pick the day the game was played and then under the 3 tab's under the score of game pick first one. Will pull up box score.

Thank you. I like to check the stats and it was driving me crazy trying to find them. WOW!!! We had only 16 SOG! That's CRAZY!
Hazen was ineffective (again) in the first 3 games after a great camp and found himself a healthy scratch for Gomes. Gomes was all over the ice and played very well, scoring his first pro goal.
Out of curiosity what do the lines mostly look like for the Rampage? I saw some of the Houston game from the feed but hard to see specifically who is paired with who. Any help Rampage fans?
Also since we are demoting a couple of guys, I wanted to see how the prospects on Cincinnati were doing so far this season too. As far as notables go, Pacan is tied for the team lead with 4 pts in 3 games so far (1g+3a), G. Wilson has 2 goals so far and Foster is 2-0-1-0 with a 2.41 GAA and .917 save %. If Pacan keeps this up, I think he'll end up back in the AHL this season.

With the struggles on offense, coach Weber has been mixing up the lines quite a bit. Really, the only constant has been Shore and Howden sticking together.
