And I'm going to add that #51 is ovbiously Valtteri Filppula and #81 is his big brother Ilari Filppula (also wearing the golden helmet as the teams top scorer atm).

It's a sponsorship deal, and has been for 20 years. Also, the player with the most games with the thing throughout the season gets IIRC 10.000

I don't know what's the reason they started that, maybe to help casual fans, I don't know. It's sponsored by the national betting company Veikkaus, and the player who has held it the longest in the season gets something like 10.000 I think.

I think Karlsson just had a 3 minute shift and didn't look gassed at all.

Two periods in and zero points, but he was on the ice when his defensive partner scored.

And it showed today. Bad game for Karlsson, he looked like a mortal out there! Sharks Jason Demers on the other hand looked very solid in his own end and managed to score a goal! Karlsson is probably still suffering from jetlag though.

Just think of it like a vacation for Karlsson . Got too fancy about half a meter from his own net, normally you get benched for that kind of stuff. Turned on the jets in the last minute of the game. He likes the smaller ice, less skating around.

great. now we'll have to wait half a season, once we start up again, before he gets re adjusted to the smaller ice
probably have to go down to bingo

I see on hockeydb that Spez has no points in 3 games and is a -2. Can anyone shed light on what's going on? I'd expect him to be doing better. I do realize though that there is an adjustment period. Or is he playing well but nothing is going his way?

I guess he was carried by Karlsson last season.
Overrated and past his prime.

(I'm joking)
