Many Florida Panthers prospects expected to have big 2012-13 seasons
With arguably the best group of prospects in the NHL, the Florida Panthers and their fans have a lot to be excited about coming into the 2012-13 season, at all levels of play. In fact, the argument could be made that the Panthers have players who are among the very best of prospects in the CHL, NCAA, and AHL. That means, despite the lockout that currently has hockey fans looking beyond the NHL to fill their passion for the sport, there are plenty of intriguing Panthers' prospect stories playing out all over North America and beyond.

I really liked the tidbit about Kosov. So awesome that a little light comes out of the lockout. Should be great for his development to get to play side by side with such great players.
One player I have my eye on, one of the many I have my eye on, is Connor Brickley. I saw a little bit of him last season for Vermont University. He's got good size, good speed, good offensive instincts. I think he has a lot of potential that people don't realize. Otherwise, he would be higher on the prospect list.
Looking around for a UVM preview since I knew they'd lost their top incoming freshman to the Sabres who signed him right after the draft...apparently the Cats found a couple of goalies from Canada who are well regarded.
EDIT: also forgot San Jose signed Sebastien Stalberg away too....
If things pan out, hopefully Brickley won't be standing out on a team that wins only 2 games this season. Much better to be leading the offense of a team that's at least competitive for the playoffs.
Man, really sucks how things can turn around so quickly - just a few years ago UVM went to the Frozen Four and were capable of beating any of the Hockey East teams on any given night. Now they struggle to not finish dead last.

And thanks, everyone, for the kind words, and for reading it in the first place.
Just to let you know, we've been working on the Top 50 NHL prospects, too, and the first section should be posted in the next few days. Something to talk about while the owners and players aren't talking to each other.
