Darks vs. Colours is usually the easiest way to go. I'm bringing both a black and a green jersey in case there's too many of one or the other.
I think we all started congegrating in one room last time, and then when we were full, we directed the later arrivals to the second room. We do have two ladies joining us this time, so we can try and fit as many guys into the one room if that's acceptable for all of you.

I'm not sure if the shop does the rentals. I'd have to do some research on that. But surely, one of the other 20 people must have 1 pair of skates that will fit if worse came to worst.

Size is really dependent on the brand, but I wear anywhere between a size 8.5-9.5...if you can find some decent ones for $20 or so I'll pay you back for them. I'm going to check a 2nd hand place tomorrow myself and see what's kicking around. I'm pretty scared about what $10-20 will get tho. lol
Colours vs Darks? Usually it's white vs colour, and dark gets included in colour. I'll be wearing a colour jersey regardless unless I'm forced to change because the only white one I have is a bit on the small side.

I thought colour vs dark is what we did last time. Which is why people were just as confused as I was when I had my purple jersey on for the first 2 minutes of shinny last time.

In my experience it's usually white vs. black/darks and the colours get assigned to the team with less. So the colours could go either way depending on the situation.
Most shinnies it's white vs colours. Players are usually required to bring both colours.

Meh. Kinda disappointed, but if I desperately wanted to play I could've bit the bullet, fronted the payment and organized one before Mr. C came to Vancouver. Have fun though
