I took most of the stats from hockeydb.com, but I don't believe them to be terribly accurate (not up to date or simply wrong). For instance, Smid supposedly scored his 2nd goal of the season a couple days ago but I don't have an official/updated statline.
If anyone has a better source of info for our players overseas, happened to catch a game or have a link to a live game, or whatever report you'd like to add, post it here and the moderator team will try and keep it updated to the best of our abilities.
^ There's a video of a Pardubice match in this link. @0:25 Hemsky records a backdoor PP assist, @1:25 Hemsky creates a partial breakaway and cashes in.
Can you link it for me? Perhaps I'm not seeing it but I don't believe we do.
We have a Prospects thread, an OKC Barons thread, an Oil Kings thread, a Yakupov KHL thread (which I think was born from the Overseas thread), but I don't see a comprehensive thread for Oilers playing in other leagues.
EDIT: Oh, I see Seachd has been covering it. We can leave it contained to the Prospects thread and re-name it, that's fine with me unless the majority want to see seperate threads.
It's in Vail. I dunno exactly where Vail is (I believe it's in Canada?)
Andy O'Brien (@bodybyobrien) is hosting it. He's a trainer, Crosby's trainer I believe. Bob McKenzie tweeted about it maybe a month ago that O'Brien was having mini NHL camps with many NHLers attending.
Via O'Brien's twitter:

Day 1: Team Blue dominated with easy wins in basketball and on-ice. White came back with a close win in Golf.
Pretty sure Vail is in Colorado .... ski town/rich folks playground.
It is in Colorado, Clarkson was on my Road Hockey to Cure Cancer team, he said he was heading to Colorado for a camp that Crosby was putting on - looks like this is it.
Don't know if original post has been updated but that's a pretty crummy stat line for Hemsky. 4 points and a growing minus... step it up man! Jagr and Plekanec are lighting it up right now in the Czech league.
I wonder if playing in the the Czech league will help Smid's offensive game. He's a rock defensively already, but if he could start putting up 20-30 points a year at the NHL level that would add a huge new element to his game.
I'm surprised he doesn't put up more points than he does already. He never seems to make mistakes, he always makes the safe breakout pass, and rarely causes turnovers. I really love the player that he has developed into, and I think he will be an important player for the Oilers for years to come, regardless of whether he puts up points. I wanna see more Smid love on this forum!
Anyone else find it odd that Petry hasn't joined a team in another league?
He recently moved to Edmonton, along with his wife. They are currently living with the Jones', actively seeking an apartment. I have to say, if he were not married, he would probably be in Switzerland by now.
It seems like Petrell was in pretty bad shape physically when he started playing. Aside from the first game where everything went his way and he scored 3 goals he hasn't been looking good. Of the last 3 games in 2 his play time was reduced drastically and was less than 15 minutes. Hopefully he's OK and gets back to business soon.

I've been a huge Smid fan since day 1.
I first joined the forum two years ago because I was browsing and I saw a few posters complain about him and say that he should be traded and I had to argue against it.
When the NHL resumes, I really hope he's given an A.
I've been wondering what Gagner was up to. There was someone saying much earlier that he had signed with the same team as Omark, but then we didn't hear anything further about him playing or anything.
Not that it matters a lot I guess as playing hockey "anywhere" is better than nowhere... but why the Austrian league? That seems a fairly low level league compared to other options out there... but I guess you take what you can get when most jobs on teams are already taken... even for NHL caliber players.

Like I said in the other thread and I've said it before in other threads, some players view this as a chance to take a holiday while playing somewhat competitive hockey. Not a bad option to have to go see a country.
In a perfect world everyone is in the NHL, followed by the KHL, but not everyone wants to play in the KHL. Is the Swiss league really that great?, but for some reason that was a popular choice amongst North American born players.
