Thanks for these updates. Can Gourde stick handle with the puck while being that fast??
Anything you feel willing, able and ready to contribute i'm sure would be welcomed here - thank you.
He absolutely can... He's definitely a total package. It's amazing how physical he plays for being such a small guy. Despite having 124 points last year, if you search him on YouTube it's all fights.

Gourde is a fun player to watch and he definitely plays with a chip on his shoulder.
It's going to be interesting to see who Sommer decides to fill out the WorSharks roster with as there are 17 forwards under contract. I would think they'll assign 2 of them to the ECHL.
It also seems as though the D is pretty set with 7 guys under contract. Do you think they'll keep 8 on their active roster?
I would guess this is probably the most competitive camp Worcester has had in a while.
According to David Pollak the Bulls have 22 players signed. There's only 17 mentioned on their website, it's good to know they can ice a complete hockey team. It's not good (more annoying really) that they are also taking on the SJSharks slow release of news.
Just got back from the game. Had a great time. I can't wait for the rest of the season. There are definitely some improvements that need to be made as far as facilities. The lighting of the ice is a joke. It was like watching the game by candle light. They also need to get their act together as far as sound and whatnot. I thought that concessions might be a little cheaper than the Tank. Wrong. $8.50 for a Stella. Other than that, it was pretty great. ECHL is a fun league to watch. There were something like 85 combined shots. The Bulls ended up losing in OT after somehow getting a 5 minute penalty. I thought the attendance was pretty good for an underpublisized game on a Wednesday night. Bought myself a jersey and had a great time.

I was pretty pissed off that beer was as expensive as Sharks games (or more). I thought I was supposed to get drunk cheap at minor league sports?
Otherwise it wasn't bad, although it really makes me miss NHL level hockey, hoping the quality picks up a little when the regular season starts.
I also realized that I don't think I'll ever buy any bulls gear, since the color scheme doesn't match any other sports team I cheer for, and mostly matches teams I dislike. I wish they'd either picked Sharks colors or gone with Niners colors, not this weird half Niner/half Giants/Anaheim Ducks look...
Still, expect to go to a fair number more games this year!
Last night I spoke with the president of the Thunder Booster Club. We're going to be working together to do a bus trip (2 buses) from Stockton to the Cow Palace for the November 9th Thunder @ Bulls game.
Details to follow!

Where'd you hear this? That would make a WORLD of difference.
I was surprised how well the team played last night. They really held their own against Stockton, and even looked a little scrappy... which i enjoyed (except for that final penalty, of course.) Can't wait to cheer for Hans & Scotty again next week!
Lots to get sorted out as far as the venue though. Announcements and music were screwy. The lighting wasn't great, and the images on the JumboTron look further away than the view from any seat in the venue. But it was everyone's first night, so i'm sure things will improve quickly.
Three things though, if anyone official is out there is listening: beer prices need to come down, the place is much too warm, and please change that lame fight song!

PS- Which of you full-season ticket holders want to use your discount to help me buy a jersey?
