Anyway, Newcastle wins 3-0 and from what I heard their 3rd string goalie got hurt today. The starter is still hurt so its all about Number 2.
Reminds me of my Football Manager* game with Newport County. I have three keepers - all between 18 and 21, all playing on the U18 or U21 squads for Wales or Scotland - and all three got called up at the same time so I had to sign another goalie solely for the role of playing when everyone else is on international duty.
*If you have a decent computer and don't have Football Manager, you're missing out on one of the deepest game franchises ever in the history of ever.

An actual question - no sarcasm - why does Tottenham get hate around here? Are they like the Maple Leafs of the Premier League (an inordinate amount of attention for underachieving results), or is it just a particular rivalry with Arsenal? I'm kind of a casual follower of the EPL, to me Tottenham is just another mid-tier team that exists and now happens to have an American star player.
If I was going to follow an American it'd be Howard over Dempsey anyway but I don't pay any more attention to Everton than Fulham/Tottenham.

Tottenham get hated mainly because there are alot of Arsenal fans here. Those 2 teams are huge rivals
