The problem with Glennie is that he's not too different from Kadri in terms of development status... he needs to play in the NHL immidiately. Toronto simply doesn't have the space to accommodate a winger (or even a centre) to do that. If we did, we'd keep Kadri.

If Kadri goes for a prospect, it's gotta be somebody younger who can develop elsewhere for now, or somebody who can step into our vacant shutdown role in the NHL immediately.

This I'd probably do too, but Besko has pretty much no value at this point.

You must of missed it, when Yann Danis was voted the best AHL goalie last season. Danis may not be a prospect, but there are 5-6 better prospect goalies then Ben Scrivens.

Nazem Kadri is a 0.88 PPG player in the AHL, which compares pretty favorably to Glennie's 0.50 PPG in the same league. At the NHL level, Kadri's 0.37 PPG is better than every first round selection outside of the top 4 with the exception of Marcus Johansson.

Kadri's days in Toronto may be becoming numbered but he's not gonna be undersold. The news of body fat % is getting blown out of proportion.

OP, would you do Jamieson Oleksiak for Greg McKegg and a 4th round pick? Leafs fans feel the same way about your proposal as you will about the one I just made.

From Dallas?

Jack Campbell is not desirable. If we trade for a goalie, he has to be a clear upgrade over Reimer, Scrivens, Owuya and Sparks. Campbell is a good prospect but if Kadri goes, it should be for offensive help.

Reilly Smith + 3rd round pick (2012)

- Former Miami player (Brian Burke has serious ties with that school)
- Former teammate of Tyler Biggs (Leafs' 1st round pick in 2011)
- Toronto native

Brayden Schenn has 1 more point in 12 more games played, good for a 0.31 PPG, so no, I didn't forget about Brayden Schenn.

Not to mention his NHL linemates for most of his stay were guys such as Boyce and Crabb.

Probably pretty subjective, no? How many had better numbers? How many had better results?

You could easily argue lots have better pedigree but I've heard the same about Bernier, who, despite his "pedigree" has performed quite similarly to Reimer over the exact same time frame.

Hmm Campbell probably isn't a good enough goalie prospect to warrant moving Kadri. I'd include Kadri in a move for one of Bernier/Holtby/Markstrom though (not saying they're the least bit available).

If I was Brian Burke that's who I would start with asking about, if he wanted to trade Kadri to Dallas.

Kadri for Oleskiak and Fraser is a good starting point, but there's no incentive for either team to do this anytime soon

Haha it's this kind of unrealistic pressure and expectation that turn these coveted TO goalie prospects, into inconsistent, quickly traded, bench warmers.

With regards to the trade, Glennie and 6th for Kadri.
