Get out and vote!

We get to chose what repeats to watch on HNIC during the owners lockout of the NHL. This is our chance to show the CBC once and for all that there is more to hockey than the laffs.

I voted for the Boston-Montreal 1979 playoff Game...But I would like to watch the opening game of the Sens against the Habs in Ottawa in 1992. I was in the arena (Civic Centre) for that game.

We can watch that next weekend...

Seriously though - I genuinely believe there are more Habs fans in Canada than Leafs fans. Anyone who's a Habs fan knows what happens when the Habs head out on a Western road trip - Habs fans sometimes rival the fans of the team we're playing! I've never seen that from other fanbases - then again - I'm not a laffs fan - thank christ - so I wouldn't know if they see a similar phenomenon.

Pretty sure it's going to be 5 new picks next weekend

Hoping they put the Habs comeback against the Rags in there

How about everybody doesn't vote and doesn't tune in to CBC. Let their ratings plummet during the lockout without their precious HNIC. Canadian tax money for garbage like this? In this age of digital tv, it's time CBC goes the way of the dodo bird.

**** that - I'll take any hockey I can get.

What do you suggest they put in that time slot, then?

They could play reruns of the littlest Hobo for all I care.
Seriously I don't blame them, HNIC is their biggest ratings draw. They're desperate for viewership.
I'm just very anti-NHL at the moment.

Have a marathon every Saturday.

I'd rather cast more vote for the AHL.

Same. As fun as classic games are, 99 times out of 100, I'd rather watch live hockey.

I voted for the '92 game. Much as I've heard and seen footage of the '79 game, I prefer watching the games with the players I can identify with and remember watching. I was born in 1980 so I obviously didn't grow up watching many of the players in the '79 game. To be honest the Leafs-Wings game is probably the one I remember the best because my dad and brother were/are both big Wings fans and I remember how mad they were when the Leafs knocked out the Wings. My dad's hatred of Jamie Macoun (the hockey player, he didn't take things to the personal level) was stuff of legend around my house growing up.
