My main gripe with serie A, beyond the corruption, is the slow pace. Sure there's a few teams like Napoli and Zeman's Roma who don't play super slow, but the average Serie A game is much slower than the average EPL or BL game.
Anybody know how many regulars Newcastle has on the field today?
S. Taylor-is a first choice CB
Santon- is the first choice LB
Shola-is the third striker
Williamson-is the main back up to Colo and Taylor
Bigiramana-is quickly climbing the ranks, even as an 18 year old, and has seen tons of games and action of the bench, appearing in 5 of the 7 first team games so far this season
Perch- is the clubs main utility player And has appeared in 6 of 7 first team matches.
Everyone else is bench and second team pretty much.
Something like 78% possession for Liverpool thus far. Performances and tactics taking shape, another goal to kill the tie off would do. Loving that even Carra is playing the ball out of the back as if it's natural for him, no more of that hoof it up the pitch crap is great for us.
di Natale scores immediately after halftime, showing why we needed another goal.
Newcastle is up 2-0 on Bordeaux on a goal by Shola Ameobi and an own goal. There has been some good back and forth attacking but Newcastle is the only one getting any real quality chances in the first half.
edit: Newcastle up 3-0 on a goal by Cisse. Ferguson with the assist on a cross from the left wing. His third straight game with an assist off a cross. Fergie's making if very difficult for Pardew to not put his name in the starting XI every game at the moment.
