Reading the prospect ranking threads on the prospect board is basically just people whining about their favorite prospect not being ranked high enough

Us ranking our prospects after #5 or 6 is kinda ridiculous too.

This story is incredibly sad, and I wouldn't wish it to anyone and their pet, but I really did lol at that first comment.

A Republic Airlines flight attendant showed up to work Sunday at Philadelphia International Airport with a loaded gun in her bag that accidentally discharged, US Airways told NBCPhiladelphia.com.

A US Airways spokesperson confirmed that the employee headed through airport security at Terminal C around 6:50 a.m ET with a gun inside her carry-on bag.

A police officer was called over to check out the gun. That's when it accidentally discharged, the spokesperson said.

The bullet went into a TSA break room where an employee was sitting. No one was injured, police said.

There's no excuse. That's gun safety 101, and gun safety is really, really easy.

Iranian news agency picks up Onion article as fact

Quote:
CHICAGO — A joke by the satirical newspaper The Onion appears to have gotten lost in translation.

An Iranian news agency picked up -- as fact -- a story from the paper about a supposed survey showing an overwhelming majority of rural white Americans would rather vote for Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad than President Barack Obama. But it was made up, like everything in the just-for-laughs newspaper, which is headquartered in Chicago.

The English-language service of Iran's semiofficial Fars news agency republished the story Friday, several days after it appeared in The Onion.

The Los Angeles city council has unanimously approved a plan for a $1.5 billion football stadium downtown.

My god that's an expensive stadium

Is there even any real indication that they can put a football team in it as soon as its done? Other than the feeling that "we're a huge market, the NFL would be foolish not to let a team come play here in a new stadium"...which probably isn't wrong really.

I think Oakland moved to LA when the city wouldn't let them build a new stadium, and then they moved back to Oakland after LA wouldn't let them build?

Are there any teams in that area that want higher attendance or a new building? What are Oakland and SD up to?

NHL Network has Game 2 of the Pens series on. Pens are up 2-0, Lavi has just called a timeout. I have a feeling that's going to be a turning point. I bet anyone 100 bucks Giroux and....let's say Couturier, score hat tricks.
