Might watch a few more Marlie games than I usually do, but to me, that's okay because I usually give them some support. However, I don't really pay attention to junior hockey even when the NHL is playing, so I see no reason why I should pay attention now.
Donno dude, pvr might allow you to re watch them 7-10pm.
I also wonder if they will have English commentary or just the original Russian commentary. They should Bowen in to commentate on a KHL game. That'd be hilarious.
Personally I've just been watching WHL, KHL and SM-liiga games to get my hockey fix, but I don't see anything wrong with watching the Marlies. No need to take the lockout overly personally, it's a labour dispute like any other.
I wish I could boycott it but I'll just tell myself that other people won't go through with it and at the end of the day the owners don't care if just me doesn't attend games...so I'll end up going to them anyway.
I would think Rogers and Bell are both in favour of no lockout. They make more selling it with tickets and there media. Without it right now they have nothing and guys like kyperoes and mckenize doing nothing.
Support LOCAL hockey. Unless you live downtown, the Marlies aren't local. Support the Steelheads, the Battalion, the Generals, Colts, Ice Dogs, Rangers, Petes, Knights, etc...
We have the greates junior league on earth and the NHL's #1 feeder system right in our backyards. If you consider yourself a hockey fan, you are doing yourself, and your home province a disservice by not attending.
I have no plans on attending Marlies games. To me, giving the Marlies money is just tacit approval of the NHL's business practices.

With Grabos dad, Danill Markov and Dimitri Yushevich. That might be good. lol
They deserve it. They deserve full house. Would be an embarrassment if the Marlies don't sell out every game, at the very least until the lockout is lifted.
The terrible schedule that the AHL has will cause me to boycott it all on my own. What's with the Fri-Sat-Sun games? That's when I'm busy, oddly enough.
Notice that its a good opportunity to raise ticket prices for Marlies games?
Lol @ fans mocking OP for taking a stance. Personally, I don't mind Marlie games and have already purchased a pair of tix for my bro's birthday. I go to a game or two every season since they have been at Ricoh. For 75 bucks I got two center ice mid level seats. Very reasonable IMO. Its decent hockey and you are watching pros. But I understand fully those who won't give a penny to MLSE...even going as far as boycotting Bell and Rogers communication services....its a lot of hassle and at the end of the day...ALL the fans in Toronto will flock back once the NHL starts up again. So really what's the point unless you plan on never returning. And if that's your stance...I fully support it. I pretty much did the same thing with MLB when they cancelled the World Series.

Knights & Generals! All day!
Some of us already do watch Junior hockey on a regular basis. I also attend several Marlies games each season and am not about to stop now as the Marlies would be getting my money whether the Leafs were playing or not.
I watch a ton of OHL hockey via the sportspak. I find the AHL to be terrible. Over the last lockout I wanted to watch just to see where things might be. I remember getting into heated debates about Kyle Wellwood. It was obvious that his game would not translate to the NHL.

This. Chances are both of those teams will be moved after this season if attendance does not improve.

Don't the Battalion have one more season left at their rink?
I think half of their problem is that the rink is in a lousy location traffic wise. The other half of their problem is that the demographics of Brampton have changed significantly and a lot of the people living here now come from cultures that know nothing of hockey so the team's potential fan base has decreased significantly.
MARLIES are owned by the leafs, rogers/bell.
they will make money if you go and watch, and have enough to pay burke.
rogers /bell laugh at us, all the way to the bank.
junior hockey, minor hockey, support them, they never lock out the FANS, like the NHL/AHL owners did.
Yup, thats my take on it.
Mind you, they will be able to count me in the tv ratings.
