I'm interested in THK tho because it seems they should have a stacked roster in theory. CSKA MHL team seems to have leeked too many guys and now suck after being maybe one of the best junior teams in the world... Which in theory should mean that all those guys either moved to VHL or KHL (which did not happen). To think of all the guys that are eligible to play Krasnaja Armija makes you sick:
Denis Kamayev (QMJHL)
Grigorenko (QMJHL)
Kucherov (QMJHL)
Plotnikov (USHL)
i forgot he went USHL

Would easily be the best junior team in the world if their roster had these guys. Hopefully guys start moving to the VHL rather than flock to NA

You point up what continues to be a huge problem: many or most of the best players in Russia continue to think only of getting to NA as soon as they are able. It will be hard for Russian hockey to get better if all the best players continue to head west. Kamayev looked awful in the World U18 last spring, and has no chance of ever playing in the NHL. The WJC and Canada-Russia series showed that Grigorenko didn't really gain anything from his year in the QMJHL. Kucherov's defensive weaknesses will be magnified in NA, and as his coaches and management get down on him, he will surely get down on himself. At some point, since Russian hockey schools brought these players to the point where NA became interested in them, Russian teams should start to protect their interests and not make it so painless for these guys to make the jump.

get rid of Larionov as starting point.

CSKA´s problem is that too many great prospects are/were in the system of CSKA (kids leagues, MHL). It is not possible to give a chance all of them. Plus club did not have VHL team. And of course, coaches did not believe kids.

KHL draft can solve the problem - but protection is there. A club can protect too many kids, so no chance for other KHL teams to draft a kid. Kids must stay, lets say, in CSKA system or leave KHL-VHL-MHL system (going to CHL). Lets look at Goldobin, drafted by Novokuznetsk - a team where kids are getting chance - but he left for NA.

What should KHL change? Nowadays KHL draft is for 17th y old kids (1996 year of birth this season). Kids are without contract in Russia since 1May of KHL draft year. So they are free to sign in CHL. Yes, they are drafted by KHL teams (Zadorov etc) but choose CHL. Should KHL change rules about draft? So kids would be drafted at 16 not 17 (this season 1997ers not 1996ers). Or should a first KHL pro contract (for 1996er this season) ends at the moment when a guy signs KHL entry contract? So, a kid has contract since 1may and whole summer, so can not sign in CHL. But what happens if a kid does not sign KHL entry contract? Is not this rule against human freedom?

IMO KHL rules about contract for kids/juniors is fair now, but kids abuse it

EDIT:
to expain KHL contracts

1996er (Vovchenko etc) has contract which expires 30.4.2013, it is the end of season when hi is eligible to KHL draft.

1995er (Buchnevich, Nichushkin) was drafted in KHL, signed entry contract which expires 30.4.2015, it is a year when he is 20.

Exodus to CHL is in a year of KHl draft when kids are without contract (may, jun, july 2013) and refuse to sign khl entry contract (like Buchnevich did, Zadorov did not). Yes, Dikushin left earlier, not in KHL draft year but a year before. But it is not the biggest problem because he had to go to USHL not CHL (was not eligible to CHL draft), as I know - USHL not only for hockey carreer but studying as well. Not all young hockey players prefer this route.
Would be great if CHL allows only 1 euro player per team.

Actually even protection is not stopping CSKA kids from leaving, Atlant and Magnitogorsk are keen on drafting our kids (atlant as many as 5 for sure during MHL's existence. )

Here is the link to the highlights from that game. If you look in the comments I put the time in the vid where he scored so just click the times to save yourself a few minutes.

Good news! Keep it going Valeri and maybe the call from Traktor will come sooner.

The guy looks like a beast for power, yet soft hands.

I will appreciate if you can put video of Nichushkin, Sigarev and Gusev goals, these young guys seems to do very well in the VHL. How look Semin since he plays with Sokol?

I saw parts of his first game, his team lost (they are kinda weak), he tried to create some offense but is a bit rusty.

The second goal seems to easy for Semin.

I just begin to follow the VHL but i follow the KHL and the MHL from the beginning and I love junior hockey so can you do a list of the best players(like top 5) and the best young players(like Gusev, Sigarev, Nichushkin). Maybe Shalunov, Bogdan Yakimov play there, because my russian is not very good

two more players I'd suggest to follow is Filip Topuzakov (who seems to be having a break out year for VMF) and Aleksander Titov - a young d-man logging major minutes for Ryazn' (granted they are a weak team but still) and averaging more than ppg.

He stated to "СЭ" that right now he is a player of Sokol, and all the talks about Torpedo are nonsense. Though I believe that there is some truth to them and maybe in a week or two Semin will move to the K.
