Exactly. The SEL/Swedish system as a whole is big on setting up the play (sometimes to a fault). And Duchene could use the help with passing and utilizing his teammates. I think the experience will do him good.
Tempted to take the short trip down to Sundsvall to see him, but I am wretchedly poor at present.

The league said no to any NHL players but it was found to be in breach of Swedish antitrust laws.
Like already mentioned, I hope this helps get his confidence back. The NHL is a different monster obviously, but this is better than playing no hockey at all.
This lockout is going to linger another month or 2 at least.
Keep your heads up guys. He could be lazy Stewart's brother and playing in the EIHL for free basically (British teams can't even afford NHL level insurance, generally)

Doubt the first part, second one might be possible. I also can't believe Dater would say that BS about a guy he does interviews and whatnot with in the room, I thought he didn't speculate.

Might be old hat for you guys but it was news to me. Surprised to hear him talk that way about Duchene
I wouldn't be surpirssed if he and Sacco don't have the best relationship just based on their personalities, but I don't think ego would have anything to do with it. That's the wrong word for Duchene IMO. I think he's supremely confident in himself and his abilities, but I don't think that's the same as having an huge ego which implies self importance.
ps out of everyone, Duchene is the least egotistical person on the team to me.
