Best thing for him. He'll be a big fish in a small pond.

Speaking of Rich Clune, you think he'll ever get another sniff at the NHL? Maybe not with the Kings but anywhere else?

If he was going to it would've happened by now I think. He's had to pass through waivers the past two seasons now and has passed without problems. If another team was looking at giving him a shot they likely would've claimed him and then given him that chance already.

That was a good article and this past season definitely did allot to make Morris more appreciated around the hockey world.
Thanks for posting that CT.
I typically avoid the Sun due to its Leafy nonsense but sometimes they come up with some cheese.

Watching the game... good big hit by Hickey at the blue line...Toffoli and Pearson look to have good skill and size on both...Loki looks like he is flying out there...

Andre Andreoff just smoked Mike Halmo. Really liked Andreoff from the day we drafted him. Simmonds and Clifford type.
Toffoli is flying out there. Loktionov looks good. Nolan with some big hits. Muzzin has the biggest hit of the game and looks good.

Loktionov has far and away looked like the best player in the game. When given actual ice time, he looks awesome.

I remember how stacked the 2004-05 Manchester Monarchs were thanks to the lockout. So many players who would've been in the NHL went on to play in Manchester (the Philadelphia Phantoms were also stacked with Carter and Richards on there).
The Monarchs were the 2nd best team in the league, but lost in the 1st round of the playoffs to the Providence Bruins that year. Take a look at their roster and how many NHLers from that team are still active.

Dustin Brown is the only player still with the Kings, but other current NHLers include Cammalleri, Gleason, Kostopoulos, Steckel, Garon, Weaver, and Parros.

Bridgeport dressed there tough squad...Manchester didn't dress our heavy Justin Johnson but Clune, Nolan and Andreoff are playing.
I like the speed of the young players. You can really tell the players who are NHL'ers or NHL ready....Toffoli, Nolan, Loktionov, Muzzin, Hickey...

And now Lokti puts em up 2-0 on a low angle shot. Great play for him to glove the puck, put it down, and bury it.

I've only watched the third period but the Monarchs are looking like the Kings during the playoffs. Just forechecking the hell out of the Sound Tigers who can barely get out of their own zone.

Hickey is just so smooth
edit: Monarchs win 2-0, combined shutout for Jones and Berube.
edit #2: And Jordan Nolan ended up with a Gordie Howe hat trick!

Aside from the penalties and the PP, the Monarchs basically dominated this game.
